    Hey Sharpie,

I had a E spec DR a while back and did all the weight savings and quite a few power mods. Great all rounder but as TB says it doesn’t really shine in any area.

It sounds to me like your trying to build a KTM690. Offroad ability, light weight and some luggage. I think, yes your crazy, a DRZ400 is a great bike (especially with a support vehicle to carry your luggage) but why not start with something that is already closer to your design brief.

21KG of luggage plus you and highway gearing is prob going to struggle. I reckon go to a DR650 or KTM 690, you need torque and big bore reliability to go with it IMHO. what a bout a rally raid XR650R 👿

    Good luck

Kat that looks FRIGGIN AWESOME, the support truck and little bike combo on that route would be the bomb, well done! That trip looks like it would definitely rate

watched your vid 2 dude, looks like fun. Nate and I did a Tumblebee and Kitchener run on sunday and had a great day.

It was a toss up between that and this ride but the boy hates mornings

Early finish as some dickhead had driven numerous pieces of threaded bar into the ground across the rode and one spiked nates front, should have thrown the tube in the backpack :pinch: . See yas on the weekend

Also if you unrestricted the exhaust you may have lost a little low down grunt to gain more peak power. I would try to richen up the midrange, richer needle or move the clip position down a couple of slots.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago, piece of cake and similar to the 07 model. You did well to get 9000Ks out of em

    Hey Murph,

Pic 16 looks like the waterfall at the end of elquestro gorge ? Bloody cold pool at the end if its the same one. And is that tim hanging off the wall of tunnel creek in the next pic?

Looks like your having a great time, extremely jealous.
