Cheers mate, only one personal attack so far, still waiting on the rest. Most of the comments by others have been fair. I just gave a report on a bad ride, no blame towards anyone. Some of them carried on after all and finished the ride, I am happy for them, even though they may still be wanting to hang me.

Ohh yes, comms and sticking to agreed meeting points is so important, hope the others have learned this by now.

Rentals were a cocktail of KLX250, Baja250, XR250, DRZ250, no, it was rather uncomfortable to be held at gunpoint, however, was I not in the lead position, it might have been one of the clients that took the hit, in which case I would have had to stay with him to sort things all out anyway. Needless to say, I am getting a lot of shit on my head for this, not to mention being out over a grand on this. Some did eventually continue, but I am getting blamed (a bit unfairly) for quite a bit of this, what can one expect in a 3rd world country? Certainly not perfection, no ride ever goes totally to plan does it?

Dont let a few cats and reptiles scare you off mate, got bears and snakes too!
we will be videoing and taking pics, its for sa good cause, not to mention a ride to give you plenty to tell in the pub. See also the
Golden Triangle Rider Forum, look in the Cambodia Section,
Trip report by Alrikki, to get a better idea of the ride, can arrange you hire bikes if you get in quickly enough, if on your own bike, anything over a 400 is too heavy, 650 can make it in the end of the dry season, but we are expecting high waters and mud.

    C’mon lads, dont be shy!
