Good luck to ya
I think this Saturday’s ride might be my last for quite a few months

MurphBig thanks for the invite, boys.
Must admitt I was a little concerned about the grading of this ride but once there it was all great fun.
Some really sweet trails and even a few challenging hills thrown in. 👿 :woohoo:
The road up from Wauhope is a doosey. Never seen so many consecutive 25 and 35km corners. The dirt road into the campsite was long especially at 9:30 at night. Once I woke in the morning I was impressed with the campsite which backed onto a beautiful little river. The leeches were thick though and at times it looked like the whole ground was moving.
Great bunch of fellas, thanks to the leaders and to our sweep man, Damos.
I might have some pics on the camera, I haven’t checked yet.
Sorry that I left Saturday night but at least I got a fair bit of work done on the van Sunday so we are a that little bit closer to being ready for our trip West.
Cheers
Murph
P.S. Thanks for the pit toilet initiaton.
:laugh:Hi Cas
I had typed up a bit of a spoill (yarn)
But it’s gone to cyber space, I guess
Anyway it went like this. :silly:
WELCOME
Thats all I remember. :pinch:
On saying that,
Your quite welcome to share some trails with the Murphs
Hope to see ya one day. :woohoo: :woohoo:

MurphHey rat,
Why not get the 465 or 490 IT???
I owned both in my youth. 👿 :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
After getting my mate to ride my first bike home from the shop. (a big brand new DT175) Because I had never riden a bike in my life thus far.
Next bike was a big bore 2T
I do believe the 465 was a nastier bike, but the 490 had the suspension sorted. Suspension/tyres makes an average rider look better every time. (at least thats what I go on)
Looks like a good project, Rat.
Cheers
Murphwhite rocket wrote:if you worked for a fuel company you would hate them they don t use any fuel go forever on a tank .there also nice to rideThat true “rocket”
I’ve owned two 525’s before this injected model.
Gotta say that fuel/distance is no longer a problem
Still dont think they have the big hit off the bottom though.
I guess “smooth delivery” are the buzz words for now.
I do love my fivehungy, but I would of been happier with an upgrade on the old carby model. So I can drop the revs down like I used too and just crawl with out having a ‘FLAME OUT”
I guess a slight change in riding technices aint all that bad
Just that I’m too old to change and it does take some time.
I heard this weekend gone, that the new WR450 is also “smooth on its delivery”
I for one, used to love the big hit of the 525
And still do
But, this is 2012
Just tryin to keep up, bein a 60’s child
Cheers
MurphHey Timd505
There are a few 350’s out in Od Bull land, mate
From all reports they sound the go
Yes they have addressed the fuel filter problem, Eags.
I have the 500 and am more than happy with it
I’ve had a couple of 525’s too and I originally bought my first one as not many people had Kato’s then.
Now they are like a rash, but for good reason I suppose
Cheers
MurphNo can do Ace
Anyway the trip is all about getting back to my roots. ie surfing/fishing/diving.TB, could you keep me penciled in, mate.
Don’t rely on me to make up the 40 for the catered meal. (If I do make it down there I’ll be too pickled to worry about those insignificant things like eating) :silly: :silly:
Cheers
MurphYour not that old Chris.
P.S. Sorry about last nights post
Very pissed. -
