Well what a great couple of days riding. :woohoo:
Huge thanks to everyone for making it the fun that it was.
KTM_Rules and I did all the leading and he even showed me some new singles that I hadn’t been on. :)
We had Ev travel from Coffs just for the one day, awesome.
Bob, Galey and Mal from out Bathurst way. I think Galey had to work at 11:00 Monday night.
The rest of the boys were from more local areas and I’m pretty sure they all enjoyed themselves.
Might write more later but in the meantime here are a few pics
    Cheers

Well we had some thick dark clouds over the mountains yesterday, even rumblings of thunder but I don’t think they dropped any rain. :( ;)
Tim and I were out locally moving logs and adding the finishing touches to our latest single. Most people move logs out of the road but not young Tim he wants as many as possible to ride over. 👿 Its a great little track and the logs are all quite makeable even for an old fart like me.
Anyway, glad the computer Guru’s have the site up and running again.  B)
See some of ya’s tonight and the rest tomorrow morning

Don’t forget to wind your clocks back tonight.

    Cheers

in reply to: KTM EFI recall/retro fit #218274

    New fuel filter fitted today
I had a go yesterday but realised KTM shop had removed the standard fine filter so when I pulled it apart I had no idea where the filter was meant to fit. To make things worse I pinched the O-ring puting it back together and when I started it, fuel pissed out everywhere. Note to self (do not work on bike when Turkeys are flowing) :(
Got the Kato boys to fit the new correctly and give me the low down. B)
Also had a new Thermo fan switch fitted as the old one wasn’t working.
The new one cuts in around 85 degrees where as the old one wouldn’t cut in until 100 degrees.
All warranty work so I was happy I didn’t have to reach into my pockets. B)
    Cheers

I just brought the 570 berg and have only ridden it for a quick 1hr ride, will be on it again on monday so can give you more afterwards

You wont go wrong with either
Berg is cheaper, good deals at the moment
Berg feels wider between your legs but lighter in the steering
Berg has the newer close chamber forks
I was also worried about no kick starter but do your reserch on the EFI systems they both use, if the battery is dead, less than 8 volts it wont start even with a kick starter or clutching
If worried do a deal on changing the standard battery for a lithium ion, heaps better and 1.5kg lighter
I have been a berg rider for several years and actually was set on changing but in the end it came down to me getting a deal with the berg setup as i wanted for less than i could buy the bare KTM

OK, first impression of the berg off rode,
Fark this thing goes!! goes much harder then the demo bike, Sutto’s secret pre delivery i’m guessing
brakes very powerful, gear shifting smooth and postive, forks harst initially(backed off 5 clicks), sweet back end (fitted with progressive spring), steering light and goes where it should
Bike did feel a bit top heavy and wide between the legs, but i started to get use to it the more on rode
    so far impressed
    more later

    p.s
    Fark this thing goes!!

    Wahoo Medogrocket.
When are ya bringing it up our way so we can put some scratches on it???
