Saw a couple of adv bikes on a trailer heading west at the Gap Thursday morning.
They were geared up and all I tell you is that one was yellow
It was only a glimpse
Just wondering if it was any of you guys???
Cheers
MurphGlad you like the bike Browny.
Hope it is as good to you as it was for me.
Adams right. Come along on a Murphsberg (could be one next Saturday), the bike knows the way so all you have to do is hang onto her.
I still have the original springs at work if you want them but if you find the suspension alright the way it is I will stick em on ebay
Cheers
MurphWise move to turn around when you felt doubtful Teza, especially on your own, mate.
Be very carefull of those dark creek crossings and in fact any puddle you can’t see the bottom.
Its all great fun if you get through but can really turn to shit if you drown the bike. Its a fine line.
Cheers
MurphNice one Mick.
Aido, we have had 5 Katos and they have all been great bikes, mate
Thoughts to ponder for me would be.
Do you have both KTM and Yammy dealers close by?
Can you go without a bike for a few months, ouch??
It is coming into summer so would it matter so much not to have a bike for a while???
And then it comes down to personal preference.
Cheers
MurphJust had an IRC rear hoop fitted.
Replaced the 13T front sprocket for a 14T
Fitted a mapping switch so I can set it to agressive and leave it there
Removed the puncy chain guard
Took it for a spin and loved it
My thoughts are that 13-50 gearing is just too low
It seems to have more hit off the bottom so I’m wrapped
Couldn’t get the handle bar risers I was chasing so I might have to knock up a couple at work this weekend
Can’t wait for its first Murphsberg
Cheers
MurphGotta love the wet
Give me a rainy day against a dusty day anytime
So what if you get wet, its only water.
All is good until you drown a bike.
I remember Mal5.1 and I running back and forth through a bloody deep hole years ago just for the fun of it. In hindsight we were lucky not to drown them but it was summer and seemed like fun at the time.
Cheers
MurphHappy Birfdee young fella
Have a pisser, mate
Cheers
MurphWell done Rocket.

Looked like it was a good buy, mate
Cheers
MurphOnce I have a new rear tyre, bar raisers and the gearing sorted I will be straight into another Murphsberg. So by next weekend all should be sweet.
Had a bit of a read of the owners manual and it says nothing about the ignition mapping
The six day version has a switch under the seat that can be set. I’ll just wait intil tomorrow when can talk to the KTM shop dudes.
Hey husky
Unfortunately I doubt if I’ll be up your way before the Nundle bash but we’ll see what happens
Cheers
MurphThanks for the ideas about the mapping switch, fella’s.
I will have to do some investigating
Axel, changing the front sprocket would be heaps easier, hope there is enough chain
That would be roughly the same as 3 and a bit teeth on the back wouldn’t it?
Shall try a 14 front on Tuesday
My 525 ran great with 14-50
This bike has 13-50
The box ratios are slitghly different between models, only the first few gears and there is not much in it
Cheers all
Murph

SOLD
She’s gone.
Hope the new owner respects as much as I did
Cheers
MurphMy 525 has been around the block a few times. 😆
15700kms
Now you know why the cheap price tag.
Could be due for a top end rebuild with in the next few thousand kays or maybe just run her into the ground
I never did it as she is still going strong
It has been super reliable
And will climb just about anything you point her at
Cheers
MurphNice looking rig Al
Wondering how much to put on mine
Cheers
MurphPencil me in for this one please.
Pending arrival of new ride.
And have to put a new clutch in the Nisan.
But all should be good.
Cheers
MurphThank you Gentlemen.
Sorry for the late reply. I didn’t even catch this thread until Mal told me about it yesterday.
Managed to get some really nice waves down at Catho for my Burfdee.
Still checking the shed but no new Kato yet.
Put a deposit down on the 5-8-11 and I’m still waiting.
:pinch:
Yes, Mal. They were the days mate. Adrenalin overload, hey. :woohoo: :woohoo:
Cheers
