Hey Axel
Tim,s new toy is a 2010 200. He loves it but you wouldn’t think so after throwing it away and smashing his pipe on Saturdays ride.
Hey PTW
We have been riding up Hitchy’s for quite a while. It is probably a little harder than Whitemans but only because it is never dry (always mossy and more so in winter).
Cheers
MurphNo bloody help but as been said, try and even the load.
And as TB said, maybe lower the forks through the clamps??
Have played around with KTM fork in clamp levels.
Hang on, maybe me, but if you lower the forks (that is to put more fork up through the clamps) doesn’t it make it more prone to head shake.
A questions for the Gods I guess??
Stay tunedSorry about the can confusion, Man.
There are some crazy Dudes on
this usually sedate and informative site
How was that for PR TB
cheers
MurphSounds cool
Post it and they will come.
Before I get too carried away, will have to wait and see what weekend it is going to be on.
Poor old Kato hit reserve at 67kms again, if nothing else this seems constant.
We had a fuel dump organised for todays ride. This may be an issue.
Have no idea how much is reserve!!
Will endeavor to find out though. Thirsty Bitch Hey?
Many of the new breed cars get far better milage than my bike. Anything getting better than 10 L/hundred kms is thrashing my economy.
I guess we don’t ride the damn things to save the worlds petroleum problems. :pinch:
Chhers
MurphHey big fella
Would love to come along. Hope it is one of my weekends off.
Could maybe do a run with ya’s and then spend the night at my good mates place, out the back of Portland.
See what happens with Mal first.
OOps, sorry Mal
Just thinking in advance.
By the way TB, your always more than welcome to throw that big red pig through some of our trails, mate???
Kinda have our shit together, up here.
Unless you have some sort of bike that is prone to breakdowns.
Then there will be a whole lot of this.
Cheers
MurphYou’ll love it Mal.
Get up here as soon as ya can, Man.
This Winter has added some great extensions to our usual loops. 👿
We now have the three great runs put together. :woohoo:
The Basin Run
Southend Wato’s
The Ultimate Murphsberg
The later leaving straight fom home.
These can all be taylored to suit of coarse. Well sort of.
All three loops are around the grade 4 with some grade 5 thrown in just for fun.
I do have to mention that todays ride had my slings staying in my pack. Which was bloody cool.
Being only three of us, it was left up to one and another to negotiate there own way through the stages. :woohoo:  :pinch:
Cheers ya’ll
Murph the surfSitting back in my chair, I have to ask the question??????
Dejay_kwacka posted this ride report as a grade 4/5??
Do I need more practice before signing up for the real ride??
Didn’t have a fall today and would of classed that as a grade 4/5.
Will try and get as much time on the bike as possible before ya’s organise this ride.On saying that, everybody loves it when a “so called hard rider” comes unstuck.
I, myself am still working on being hard arsed. Probably left my wait too long. Too bloody old to do all the things I want to. Will not stop me from trying though. 👿 👿
Yoh.
MurphHey Lefty
Was told that the new Kato’s radiator guards will be compramised on the thermo fan side (I think the RH).
Do you have a fan fitted to your 525???
Cheers
MurphAnybody else out there done Whitemans???
Was just wondering what to grade it at for the next ride.
Must be on the upper side of 4+ but not sure if it warrants a 5.
But then again it was bloody hard and Tim did have a fall.
Great hill can’t wait to hit it again. 👿
Cheers
Murph.Good one Lefty
Believe it or not that is what happened to the old Landrover/186’s thermostat. Rusted closed or part there of. :pinch:
Have heard of people fitting computer type cooling fans at a way lesser price of KTM’s price.
I believe the new 012 Katos are standard with a thermo fan.
Great idea, although it comes at a price, not financially.
But I think if you want radiator guards the one with the thermo fan is some what compramised.
Cheers
MurphHey Scoot
My 525 gets a little hot under the collar every second ride. We do some pretty sick hills though and it only lasts a minute or so. I’m with Mick and reckon they have a thermostat for a reason. On saying that I had an old Landrover with a 186 Holden motor in it years ago and it did run better without the thermostat. I am talking almost 30 yrs ago and it really has nothing to do with your problem.
When and how long does it boil for???
My 07 525 has 15300+kms on the dial.
Cheers
MurphThis old school computer has just opened up your pics Jeffro.

The dam looks good with water coming over it. Ive never seen that.
Cheers
MurphGood onya Jeffro.

Great to seeya out peddling around again.
Take care of that shoulder though mate
Cheers
MurphHey Mick, I’ve been called Billy many times. In actual fact I’m going more for the JC look mate.
No Halo though. 👿
Cheers
