I’m about to strip the fork down now
The plan is that I take the outer tube to work tomorrow and bore the worn area so as to make it perfectly round again (it has worn mostly on one side)
By placing the split bush on the inner tube I should be able to measure the outside diameter
This will be the original diameter of the bore where the bush sits
From there I will perhaps use shim or machine a sleeve to suit
Hope there is enough wall thickness on the tube
Sounds like a plan
Certainly cheaper than a new outer tube
Will update as I go
