Day started nice with a crew of seven (Als450, Josh, Badbowie, sb_250y, Dude, Tim and myself)
Tims first section of single is now complete and it has some great tests in it.
The railway cutting had Josh and sb doing the chicken track.
Badbowie just made it this time and Als450 flipping at the top.
One particular rock step up was only taken on by Tim, Dude and Myself. :woohoo:
Will be great to push that single even further.
Out to the train tunnel for our first rest.
We then did most of the Awaba singles before heading out towards Westy
Did K9, then the snotty rocky down hill and Shanes track before cruizing some nice singles at Westy.
Fueled up and said a quick G-day to the Adventure Bike Bulls at the Museum Pub
Rode some rough tracks to Sugarloaf and then along the ridge road taking every snotty detour we could
By this time Dude and Josh just watched and took the easier option on some of the nastier bits
Rode the Westside and I had three attempts of “The Hill” before becoming frustrated needing help to get the top section (thanks fella’s)
I Guess I should of tried the slightly easier way but I was out there to push myself 👿
Rode down Razorback with most taking chicken tracks and I think only Tim and I rode off the end.
By the way, nothing wrong with taking a chicken track. Just won’t win ya’s any prizes on the real ride.
Then one last downhill and around to the Gap servo where we met Josh and Dude who took the road
Lunch was a joke. Waited more than an hour for a hamburger. Way too many customers to cooks ratio.
Josh was waisted by now so he took the black top home. Hope he comes out with us again, we enjoyed his company.
Did the southside but time was against us so we didn’t do Amazon. Shame because that really makes it a Murphsberg as far as I’m concerned.
Raced into the quarry where Tim and I did the Erzberg thing and Als450 followed but didn’t quite have the momentum and crashed near the top .
His bike was laying upside down and still running so I ran (climbed) down to turn it off.
Bloody hard work getting the 450 back down and it didn’t go to plan with the bike and Al sliding and rolling to the flat section.
On inspection of the bike we found a lot of oil pouring out of the engine.
Seems as though the brake lever had hit the cluch cover hard enough to deform the cover and break the gasket.
Dude, sb and badbowie were oblivious to all this as they took another chicken track and were waiting around the corner.
On arriving home I thanked everybody for coming out and set out on a rescue mission to pick up Al
It was almost dark by the time I reached him and it was bloody cold too
Like I said before, tere is no shame for taking a few chicken tracks every now and then, at least that way you live to ride another day.
Hope everybody enjoyed themselves
Seems we will have to cut some of the Awaba singes to get through everything including Amazon on the day
Pics to come

MurphVery glad to see they still have kickstarters.

A salesman from a KTM shop tried to tell me that the reason the Husabergs have no kicker was because the EFI needs more power than you can kick to operate. I knew this was not the case as my good mate Mals 5.1 Sherco had a kicker.
Cheers
