Murph the surfThis ride date has been changed to Tuesday 26-4-11
Will be taking the boy rock climbing Monday :woohoo:

MurphTook clutch slave cylinder off and found some wear grooves in the bore

New one ordered, $250 for the cylinder and piston, ouch.
Cheers
MurphHey Boony. We usually get out of our rides without any damage. Tims bike came home in good shape but mine suffered loss of fluid in the hydraulic clutch, which meant I had no clutch for the ride home. Will be checking the slave cylinder today. Dude has just had the same problem a few weeks back so I will ask him how he fixed the problem. Have only ever had air in the system once before but this seems like the slave cylinder is shot this time.

Jeffro did that Powerline track ever top out??? I bet its a bastard of a job to get in there and keep the tree line down under the wires. Too steep for machines so I’m guessing it would be a few blokes with chainsaws.
Cheers
Murph
Tim at a nice rocky downhill
Bloody mine subsidance accross the track. I was luck to stop just before it.
Tim at a particularly nasty switch back
Tim rolling back down the hill
Tim surveying for damage
Powerline track to nowhereNow I’m at work after being called out this arvo to do a bloody conveyer snub pulley change. Its a big job and all I want to do is go to sleep
Cheers

Murph the surfHey there mr ktm
I will PM you my address as at this stage its only you.
If we get too many starters (not likely this late) the ride will start from the park around the corner
Cheers
MurphI like to measure the bore using a Bore gauge, its a dial indicater on a stick. Might be a bit hard to come accross one unless you know a mate in the fitting trade. Inside micrometers will suffice and outside micrometers are are the go too for checking piston size.
Cheers
MurphLooking that way Axel
Wet is alright as it not cold yet, although it won’t be long.
Cheers
MurphA little “hard on” is better than no hard on TB
Congrats Nick
Better go now :woohoo:
WORK SUX

MurphHmm nice disc brake modification
Well done
Can’t remember the 490 having discs
Was well over 25 years since I owned one though
CheersGreat rides
I had an IT 465 and 490
Loved the 490 more as the suspension was much better than the 465
I used to love tearing past my mate on the XR500 :woohoo:
Good to see there are so many still out there
Cheers
