Sorry to jerk you around Scotty
But could you take the Dude and Murph team off the list, seems as though Dude will be working after all
If possible leave me on the bench, as I could still be a possible.
I have family at Red Rock so I’ll sort my own accomadation.
Cheers
MurphLooks like a good day out fella’s :woohoo:
Apart from the two flat tyres
Cheers
MurphWell I have done as much as I can do

Bled clutch using brake fluid (Dickhead) Then rebled system with correct hydraulic oil
Removed clutch cover and measured each plate all coming in within tollerance. They are 2mm new and mine were 1.95. Tollerance 1.9 so all good there. No worn fingers or basket. Pushrod and thrust race all good. Put it all back together and problem is slightly better, at least it didn’t fall off the stand when first was selected. Found it to be much better when engine temp is up to normal
Bloody hard to come to terms with the price of the Motorex hydraulic oil $15 for 100ml but thats what the manual recomends
Still have v/v clearances to check and new rear rubber hoop to fit :silly:
Thanks for everybodys input
Cheers
MurphOllie
Happy birthday you old bugger :woohoo:
May see ya at Coffs
All the best Axel (ya pup) and the other Bulls
Hope your day is a great one
Cheers
MurphTook me a bottle of Turkey to do the work last night :woohoo:
Looks like another bottle to have a closer look at the clutch tomorrow
Cheers fella’s
MurphWell did the reverse bleed last night but still lays rubber on the concrete when first gear is selected. It did improve when the engine warmed up. Whilst on the stand (rear wheel in the air) there was no way I could stop the wheel from tuning with my hand
Didn’t take it for a ride due to inclement weather
Also changed rear wheel bearings, rear brake pads, front wheel bearings, front brake pads and dropped the LH fork leg ready to replace another bloody seal.
Will check v/v clearances and might even treat the old girl to a new plug.
Hope all will be well for the Coffs trip
Cheers
MurphIn my mind a single would be a trail that is too narrow for quads and fourbies.
Have noticed a lot of singles tend to have wider sections due to water hazards and hills. Its only natural that if the water hazard becomes too deep a bypass is needed, same problem with hill climbs. As they become impassable due to being rutted a new line opens up beside it
Personally I prefer tight snotty steep singles, there something rewarding after you get through a section without help :woohoo:
Other people prefer more open singles where you can pick up the pace :woohoo:
Thank god we are all different
The world would be a boring place if we were all the same
My 2 cents worthWas always going to get one of those big syringes, I guess now is my chance
Cheers
MurphNice day out there Jeffro
I concur it was bloody hot
We rode from Chain Valley Bay to Catho yesterday
Some nice singles on the way but the Catho side of the highway was pretty much the same as last time I rode out that way some 25 years ago. No pics so no report from me
Take it easy on those solo trips mate
Cheers
MurphHey Hatto
Couldn’t open the link, must be secret KTM business or something. I’ve had this 525 from new and yes it has always had a bit of “clutch drag” but it has just gotten a lot worse over the last couple of rides.
Bundyroy
My name should be Turkeyroy, not many of us Roy’s out there.
Would of thought with air in the system it would not engage the clutch fully giving it the severe “creep” that mine has at the moment. What you are saying with air in the system the clutch wouldn’t dissengage fully to give you proper drive. ie slipping
Seems strange
Either way it will be bled this arvo. Any special tips in bleeding? I assume it would be like any other bleed job. Have never had to touch the hydraulic clutch on this Kato or the previous one
Cheers
MurphWill try and get around to doing that this arvo, might even flush it with new fluid
Cheers TB
MurphHey ya’ll
We’ll all pretty happy at the moment :woohoo: :woohoo:
If ya don’t let us tag along, me and da dude will just follow the roosts :silly: :silly:
Dude and I are from the same blackfella tribe and can track 30 bikes easily
A ha haha ah
Dude saying he will be there but it is questionable
Cheers
murph (the not so surfing) surfSounds good mate
Just noticed a broken tooth on the front sprocket so I’m off to the shed to put a new chain and sprockets on
Cheers
MurphMuch better pipe there Eags
May have to get the commuter rejetted??Hey Hatto
Same thoughts as Menace  Was told that the solid discs, no holes, last longer in muddy conditions??? Thats what we run.
Cheers
Murph
PS. Doubt she’d be up for a rebuild, my 525 has 12500kms on her -
