Geez Ollie, sad to hear that mate
I put it down to a deteriation of the human race due to over population
Less people = less idiots
Just my view though
Cheers
MurphMal
Can’t see me getting a new bike after buying the bride a new car
Will try 1) new fluid
2) inspect water pump impellor
3) check coolant pressure (ie suspect blown head gasket)
10000kms on the clock, it has been a good bike. Can’t remember ever topping up the coolant (except for the other day when I added some no name brand) and it does get checked before every ride
Dan
The foam sounds like the go but it would also act as a dust catcher too and would need to be cleaned every other ride me thinks
Nathan
That sounds a bit steep for a battery  Then again I have not bought a car battery for a very long time.
Will be organising another ride in that area soon, still could add another 20kms or so. Might try and jump in on Motos ride around Xmas
Cheers
MurphHave not heard of this foam between the seals trick, may give it a go when I replace the seal again  I can see how it would help stop forign material from entering but like you said you would definately have to clean it out very regulary
Will also check and maybe replace the bushes inside the forks
Cheers
MurphCursed by Murphy’s Law
Arrived at kick off point about 6:00 followed by Tryhard and Gili
Knowing how keen tf2 and Diddel are we waited for almost half an hour before pulling the pin and headed off. First track was Boyds which had a bugger of a tree hop and a short steep rocky single which couldn’t be hit with any speed. Rode down “Panadol Hill” (The only way possible in my mind)and followed a great single looping back up to Boyds via a steep rocky hill. Bloody tree hop again  where Tryhard gives the Kato a tad too much gas and almost launches off into the bush. Looked impressive though :woohoo: Up the steep rocky pinch again. then onto some more great single to “Prick Hill”
Gili had already top out when we got there so we didn’t see which line he took. Tryhard hit it but took the wrong line. He nailed it on his second attempt and when I got to the top I was beginning to worry about the amount of coolant I was losing  More single to the next power lines and then did a great section of single that I hadn’t been on before :woohoo:
It was decided that we head up and along Watagan Forest Rd (WFR) for a while to get some air through my radiators. Stopped near the top of Hitchcocks still losing coolant  and now realising my LH fork seal had completely blown out   and was spewing all over my brake disc. (Only put a new seal in 150kms ago) Tryhard also had issues with a dead battery
Rode down Hitchcocks and at the bottom a coin was almost tossed to decide whether we would have a crack at riding back up. After some indecision the choice was made to give it a go :woohoo: So we charged back up to where the rocks begin. Was hoping to get some photos here but Tryhard just kept going so then it was game on :woohoo: :woohoo:
Climbed every one of those gnarly rocky sections with none of us stopping. At one stage I could hardly see from the amount of steam bellowing out of my radiator
Great hill climb, one of the best I have done :woohoo: As we waited at the top for my bike to cool you could see the adrenalin slowly abate so it was off again back up to WFR then down Whitemans and an awesome section called “Zig Zag”. Followed “Maculata” for a while then headed up “Daniels” to meet WFR.
Back at the cars around 10 ish with 60kms on the clock
Packed up, said goodbyes then back home for a swim
Thanks to Gili and Tryhard for a top day out.
Tf2 and Diddel sorry to say that you missed a great little ride
I will be working on extending what we did with some ideas that Ollie had., another 20 or so kms would make it an awesome loop. Maybe in the cooler months though
Not many photos, as you all know with only three riders the pace is pretty quick
Cheers
