Checked out the Tenere and I think it may be too tall for me. When I sit on it I have too tippy toe to touch the ground on both sides at the same time lol

Well I have just got back from 21 days in Tassie, but now back to work for a week. but the bonus about my job is my roster (Week on Week off) so that week off gives me plenty of time to do things that I like ;)

Also in Feb I have another 21 days off where I will be heading to Sydney first then Brisbane and then Fraser Island :) its a hard life but someone does have to do it :D

I was searching information regarding the Tenere and your post popped up :) then I decided that it was such a good write up that I would join and milk you guys for more information.

Big rides are great :). I am thinking of driving to the cape sometime with my Tenere on the back and exploring on it around the Cape, should be a great trip I think. I also have family in Tassie and have lived there a bit so the west coast looks like another good prospect :)

Great write up, I am going to copy and paste both write ups for when I get mine just in case the site goes down.

Hi I am looking at buying a brand new Yamaha Tenere XTZ660, this will be my first bike and I will be on my learners :0 I have been looking at this bike and the BMW F650GS. The Yamaha wins hands down.
Thank you for the write up and highlighting the modifications that you had to make. It has made my decision that much easier to see that I have chosen the right bike for me.

If you can offer any more information to tyre types etc and if internal beadlocks are needed. Thank you again.

    Scott
