you bought a 250 now you want to make it more powerful !!
would it not have been better to buy a more powerful, light bike in the first place???Like what????? KTM
I like everything about the Crf and as a cheap option I can have more power
an increased mid range wouldn’t be a bad thing when I stuff up a hill climb !! :pinch:

Don’t think so mate, not sure which is the more powerful as a standard bike but I know I prefer Riding over Repairing

Nato wrote:How do you find the power now? Are you chasing extra power cause your missing the 400 or cause its as easy as a cam change? The fmf looks the goods mate.I find the power good at the moment Nato and if it wasn’t such an easy mod probably wouldn’t do it , I do like a strong mid range in a bike an the hot cams give plenty of that
Plus who doesn’t like to find more power in their bike !!!!
Dear Dr Phil, I was watching my neighbour’s daughter sunbaking topless from my bedroom window. As I was having a wank, I noticed my wife standing there, arms folded, watching me. Im worried. Is she a pervert?
Today I spoke with Nick at Tekniks Motorsport about my recently resprung shock and forks which have firmed up the Crf and I am now getting my full travel using minimum preload.
During the conversation we got talking about hot cams :woohoo: Nick says a slip on pipe and stage 1 hot cams are the best mods this bike can have.He tested a Crf250x with a 320 big bore kit and Crf250 R cams against a Crf250x with Stage 1 Hot cams and slip on pipe.
The 250 beat the 320 throughout the rev range without compromising engine reliability
So I ordered a set :woohoo:
TB will take my bike back from the Dungog AORC sweep weekend ( thanks mate
) back to Sydney for Nick to work his magic !!!

Hang on !!!!!! Looks like he’s found a new trail machine
That’s a bugger , the NZ High country ride must have only just started !!
On the recent High Country ride the loan BMW F800 I used was fitted with these and again they were great on the tar and ok on the hard pack but any loose surface on top lead to some sideways action when exiting a corner under heavy throttle.
They struggled for traction with the extra power of the 800 and I think are much better suited to the gentler power delivery of the Tenere ( or i need to fine tune my throttle control skills !!) The one wet area we hit was terrifying and had me changing to MX loops the next day
Welcome to old bulls Grider
, look forward catching up on the trails sometime !!!Nick
Looks like a great ride Bull , could you put my name down please
The food sounds tops , I’m in !!! :woohoo:
Nickj
Thanks for that Dave, I’ll check them out
