Great story Ace , shame it slowed down the ride in a great part of NSW , I am always amazed how well us off road riders are treated wherever we go when we strike a problem and theirs always someone really keen to help
Guess that’s why I moved away from London to North coast oz hey

Bundyroy wrote:Boony wrote:Apart from feeling like you need to wring its neck constantly, ….BoonyThat is the fun of 250’s Boony. You do get to ring there neck and they love it and come back for more. When riding a 250 the trick is to rev it till it sounds like it should blow up and then turn the throttle a bit more. You will love a 250 as long as get into the midset that riding starts at 10,000 rpm.
Your dead right their Bundyroy , everytime I ride my new 250 I seem to find new heights in the rev range :woohoo:

Give Suttos a call and talk to Scott first , you will get an old bull discount and they are good a sorting out freight to remote places.

The Aussies are going great do far , here’s an article from Transmoto …
It’s a long way from the shores of the Atlantic to the Peruvian city of Lima overlooking the Pacific but Husaberg Rally Racing’s Rod Faggotter is off to a great start, rocketing from a lowly start in the hundreds to finish Leg 2 in 36th. With a little luck today, Rod will move into a position where competitors start 60 seconds apart, rather than two-up every 30 seconds.
Faggotter’s teammate, Dave Schwarz, is still battling mid pack but, having finished Dakar in both North Africa and South America, Dave knows what it takes to score a Dakar Medallion.
West Aussie, Jamie Chittick, is riding a CRF450X for Honda Europe and has moved through the pack, passing 76 competitors to 83rd position. But it’s Aussie trails champ Dean Nuttall who’s eaten the most dust, roosting his KTM 450 Rally past almost one hundred riders to climb into the top fifty.
Mark Davidson and expat Craig Tarlington are still hanging in, which is all that can be done once the faster autos leave riders in very scary impenetrable dust clouds.
And in the Auto Division former Aussie ISDE representative and Safari competitor Geoff Olholm has climbed from 36th to 25th in the Australian prepped Rally Raid Warrior.
Looks very interesting TT
How good was the rider on the old Tenere backing in to those corners :woohoo:
Looked like you guys had a ball , great ride reports and pics

No good at all DJ , when you were texting me from hospital I could see you still had your sense of humor but the picture you sent told a really nasty story
You were very lucky and it’s a real wake up call to what we love to do and the risks we take .Glad to see your home mate and I hope you have a really speedy recovery
My head has none of the visable marks yours does but feels like it should after last night !!
Get well
Nick
It all kicks off tomorrow :woohoo:
Would be good Aido except it’s a Ktm and adventure riders need reliability
Hi Norto , welcome to OBT, like Mal and STM said your in old bull central and will have no shortage of rides on offer , I do a fair bit of traveling from Yamba in northern NSW to get to some of the rides and not one has disappointed
Keep an eye on the Ride Gatherings section and hopefully see you on the trails soon !!
Nick
Do it Boony , you won’t regret it !!
I really enjoyed my ride on the black Crf250 , so much within 2 weeks I bought one . I am so impressed with how much quicker the bike turns than the Drz , the weight difference is obviously huge , the power really isn’t that much different as it has great mid range, the suspension is the best I’ve felt on any bike , the clutch is superb , the brake stop you , it feels very planted like the Drz but not because it’s heavy , the high rev range is heaps of fun etc etc etc etc ……
Oh and it’s easy to pick up
