Here’s the post on an easy mod for a filter skin

Filter skin mod 

Remove existing filter cover bolts and disregard. 
Remove standard filter cover. 
Cut 4 pieces of threaded rod about 35-40mm long. 
Loctite studs into airbox in place of cover bolts. 
Fit DNA filter cover over the studs and secure with nuts. 

Buy a pool filter sock ( $6 for 5 from Coles).
 Oil filter sock

Take standard filter cover 

Fit filter sock over filter cover

Install over studs and make small cut in filter sock to allow it over the studs

Secure in place with nyloc nuts 

Now it’s easy to replace the filter sock daily on a dusty ride without disturbing your foam filter.

I use pool filter skins from Coles , 5 for $6 and they work perfectly.

Great looking ride their Kat !!! Did you find the small bike really easy to ride after the XR ?? I always notice a huge difference going from adventure to trail bike and seem to be better for it

Disabled swimmin gala. 50mtrs free style . Lane 1, bloke with no arms Lane2, bloke with no legs Lane3, just a head. Gun goes off & they all dive in. Bloke with no legs takes the lead from armless bloke. The head sinks 2 the bottom. Armless bloke pips the legless bloke 2 win the race.They fish the head out & ask what happened.
