Let him know Nick I’m interested. I will try and call him tomorrow night.

Will do Deano!!
It’s a great looking bike mate , wish I had a spare 13k and was allowed a 3rd bike !!!

Don’t blame us TT we’ve got no idea !!!!
😀It will be good to catch up for a ride mate , hopefully soon

Beat me again TB !!

At least we’re on the same page !!!!
I ended up sourcing mine OS as their was only 1 supplier advertizing in oz and they we’re taking the p#_s with price and availability.
I ended up using “off the Road” and got a good deal although it was a bit of a wait for it to arrive !
Barretts now do a twin and single pipe too which I reckon would be worth checking out

Still for sale mate but only just !! He’s got a buyer ready but not committed yet

I went the Leo Vince TT , sounds awesome but my main reason was it weighs 4.5 kg less than the stock pipe !!
Here are a few of my shots from this awesome ride
Day 1
On the road between Yunta and Blinman , high speed stuff but still time to stop for a beer

Fish

Lotsa

Mickp

Day 2
Another to days riding and the decision was made to get to the Corner !!
At this pub

Everything was open on the Oodnadatta track

Lake Eyre had water too !!

Krusty almost made the camp site but fell in deep sand only meters away ! Sorry for laughing so hard mate but I saw it coming !!! And you’d have done the same

Day 3
Maree pub at dawn

Getting to cross Cooper Creek by ferry is an opportunity that only arises once every 1/4 century

Fixing Tbs Tenere at Mungerannie pub !! If you’re every passing make sure you drop in for a beer and a feed it’s tops

Hang on you’ll have to it’s the only fuel for 250km in any direction

Birdsville track is a long straight dirt road but has a lot of great dirt bikers treats at the end !!

Day 4
Once again Boulder and Fish shared a bed and I thought it appropriate to get it ready for them !!!

Cordillo Downs road had TB and I banging bars and sliding all the way!!
Some of the old homestead ruins looked like they needed some love from the Boulder brothers stone laying skills !

and a mechanic …..DJ ??

Day 5
The famous Dig Tree
Innaminka

Desert on fire

Cameron Corner Store , had a great night on it with Fenn the owner. Haven’t laughed like that in a while

Day 6
The run back to Broken hill was great fun and we dodged rain all day !!

Boulder being towed 700+ kms by his brother Fish was a massive effort and all because of a lost CDI. But check out Boulders frame !!!!

Thanks again all for a very memorable ride that I’ve been reliving everyday since.
Nick
Desert Matt wrote:Thanks NickI have only just picked my Tenere up, and have only had a few rides, so am yet to find the limits of the suspension, but am aware due to the internet of the imminent need to upgrade it. The revalved and resprung standard looks like the go. TB also raves about your Fork work. What would I be looking at for front and rear valving upgrades and resprung to my specifications?
Cheers
MattI think you’ll be very happy Matt ( I know I was!!!) , I would recommend fork for sure mate , I was bottoming back and front until the Teknik voodoo took place

Nice one Krusty !! Great pics and I’m glad you laughed as much as us at the Silverton prank , we’d all have done the same mate but you took it better than most

Funny stuff

A great pic that sums up his character .

You did a great job conquering all aspects of Big Red TB

Guess I’ll stick to sand castles hey

The night at Cameron Corner Store was made special by a couple of things …
Fenn the owner getting very drunk with us
And then introducing us to Special Ed ( or Fred in his version !! )
Very sad news RIP
