Thanks for sharing Jim , sounds like a top ride mate
How was the Tenere in the sand ??
What is a 710?
No, it’s not like another number you know!
A few days ago I was having some work done at my local garage. A blonde came in and asked for a seven-hundred & ten.
We all looked at each other and another customer asked, ‘What is a seven-hundred & ten?’
She replied, ‘You know, the little piece in the middle of the engine, I have lost it and need a new one..’She replied that she did not know exactly what it was, but this piece had always been there.
The mechanic gave her a piece of paper and a pen and asked her to draw what the piece looked like.
She drew a circle and in the middle of it wrote 710. He then took her over to a car just like hers which had its hood up and asked ‘is there a 710 on this car?’.
She pointed and said, ‘Of course, its right there.’ the mechanic passed out !!
If you’re not sure what a 710 is??? …

How’s this for a coincidence …..
I was installing a fan while talking to TB about the weather out west, the customer happened to overhear and asked what we were planning, I told him about the ride. He just happens to be a property manager from west of Moree and whilst living their was a registered statistic collector for BOM. He said any significant rain events that happen out their are between the start of September and end of October, he just got back from Moree to Yamba today and says the farmers are all looking forward to the coming rain. :pinch:
moto wrote:Looks like a top weekend. I still haven’t had a ride up in the Noosa trails with Mike and Tommo. Long overdue though! It’s highly recommended Moto , hills , hills and more hills !!!! It was awesome !!! :woohoo:
The only problem was Mike made it all look very easy while the rest of us buggered it up on at least one section each
Krusty wrote:I’ve noticed weather zone have updated the 28 day forecast and the “high” days has been changed… Interesting since they claim the 28 day forcast is updated every 7 days on the monday but it was updated in the last 2 hours…I’ve done a little research and it is commonly agreed the 28 day forecast as a whole is based on historical data and that the first 3 days are fairly accurate the next 4 days 50/50 and after 7 days they seem to be throwing darts based on historical factors…
I agree a plan B should be prepared for however I wouldn’t count Camerons out yet… Just my opinion based on what I have read from the weather prediction community…
I really hope your right Krusty !!
Hi eurotrash and welcome to old bulls , you’re in the right place to do plenty of both types of off road riding. I ride single tracks most weekends and do a decent Adv ride every couple of months and still can’t do all that old bulls has to offer :woohoo:
Where do you live ?
Nick
I have been looking at the bad weather too and like I said to my missus I’ll be putting my bike on a train to Perth and riding their if it’s the only dry place in oz
I will be keen to do any amount of slabbing to get to a dry area for a weeks ride so if worst comes to worst it may not be Camerons but it will be somewhere !!!!
Trailboss wrote:Well at least your still in it SB, I know sitting here reading reports etc and you see air lifted etc you think straight away poor buggers out. Crash did his in 2008 had a couple of stitches as wellHe rode to 80kms to Bathurst hospital  bleed like a stuck pig

King STM wrote:Chris-t wrote:Don’t worry if that bike carrier can’t make it to the auction i’ll bring my one along instead. :laugh:He likes to pretend it is just for charity but Nickj is actually a keen collector of old bike carriers. If you bring it along I am sure he will pay big money for it.
:laugh:STM
That all depends on amount of beer consumed at time of auction , a clear thinking man would never by a bear trap …. twice !!!
I just spoke to TB and he said he’s freezing cold , and got a wet boot and all before they hit the dirt. But it’s ok cause Dejays grip heaters don’t work
If riding multiple days and your boots get wet , put your foot in a plastic bag before putting it into your wet boot. This saved my feet on last years very wet Cameron Corner ride
The early bird catches the worm hey Gordo !!
This is a decision only King STM can make mate ……
EAGLE`02 wrote:Well Nick,
Try to stay put till I get there for that beer before you guys head off hey ???
Must suck, bike packed, serviced, fuelled up ready to rip :whistle:I’ll be around for that beer mate don’t worry !!!
Anyway I’ve still got to re-pack at least 15 times if other rides are anything to go by !!
Spent the afternoon outside with the kids and a few beers and a load of gear that needed mounting to the Tenere.
It ended up the best I’ve loaded the bike since I’ve owned itStill over a week to go but I’m keen as to get going now :woohoo:
