Your not wrong Krusty, I was looking at all that work wondering where you would start and how with a pile of scrap metal could you see the finished piece !
Very cool I reckon !!
The reason I started this thread is Spuds way to modist about his skill and has made one item which was totally selfless. He is donating it to the Coffs ride charity auction in November.
CHECK THIS OUT !!The photos from my phone do it no justice , wait till you see it !!
Sounds interesting lefty !
After following you on the birthday ride , how could YOU possibly have more drive out of a corner !!!
Tb and I did some more detailed route planning today to iron out fuel stops and counter lunches etc !!
This ride is going to be great with a real varied route planned we are covering a lot of different terrain. To make it happen and fit everything in we have a fairly tight schedule which should all run well if bikes have been maintained and fuel ranges covered.
As TB said in a previous post it would be a good idea to keep Monday free , I think this will be essential and with all the best planning sometimes ‘ shit happens ‘
I’m really looking forward to this one !! :woohoo: :woohoo:
The stove I use is a MSR Whisperlite. It’s very light and compact and the best part is it runs on unleaded fuel straight out of the bike. Cost is $160 and $30 for the 1 litre bottle.
Rating 8/10 I can’t fault the stove or build quality but again it’s a bit expensive.
All you need in a compact bag
The kit unpacked
Assembled with wind shield fitted
Fill the fuel bottle with unleaded , give it a couple of pumps.
Light the stove
I put on 1 litre of water
In 5 minutes it was boiling
All you need to do to keep the flame burning is pump the fuel every 10 minutes.
The tent I have been using on adventure rides is the Blackwolf Dragonfly , its a copy of the MSR Hubba Bubba, the only difference is the price , the Blackwolf is $289 and the MSR is over $750.
It weighs under 3kg and takes only 5 minutes to put up. it is totally waterproof and has an entry to put your bike gear out of the weather too.Below are a few pictures of the tent, its very light and compact with the poles all joined together to make it easy to put up. It has a bucket floor which means no pegs are needed and its ideal for camping on sand
I would give this tent a 10 out of 10 ,
Would heat work Mick ?

Hi Adam
I had poor rear brake feel on my Drz and by using the organic soft pads I got from suttos it greatly improved the brake feel. They don’t last as long but the improvement was worth it !!
Hi Pedro and welcome to old bulls. I too have a Tenere and really enjoy the ride. You say you ride a bit of sand on it , how does it handle ? Have you ridden it fully loaded in sand ? What tyres are you running ?
Cheers
Nick
Looks like a good bit of gear mate. Very handy when changing pressures in sand etc.
A heap better than socks on your birthday too

Might be the only time I do stick it to you but I’ll never forget it !!!

Good to see you’re on the ride mate
Have a top day geezer !!
