lotsa wrote:Nick, the sand wasn’t that deep, although it took a bit to get going after a stop. Keep the speed up, pick a good line (most of the time there was a tyre track to follow) and let the bike float around under you.
It’s a lot more comfortable doing these types of rides on an adventure bike that an enduro. It’s a great way to see the country and cover distance unsupported.
Thanks for the tip Lotsa, I really enjoyed the small amount of sand riding we did last year on the Cameron trip and can’t wait for more !!

I’m off to check mine too now !

Great report , top pics and movie !
Im really interested to know, what was the deep sand riding like ?
Nick
I know Boulder and fish run unifilters but I was wondering what others have in their Drz and if their is a link to dusting their ?
I have 2 twin air filter which I rotate every ride. I had the valves checked at 9000km and all was good.
Nick
That was a good DIY for us DRZ owners TB!
Krusty, you’ll be able to remove your head now in November after riding in the Cameron Corner dust full noise for a week !!

Looks like a top ride you had Lotsa, looking forward to seeing the rest mate !
Bought my son an iPad, my daughter an iPod. The wife got me an iPhone and I got her an iRon.
She wasn’t overjoyed even after I explained it can be integrated with the iWash, iCook, iClean network.
This opened the iNag reminder service which totally wiped out the iShag function.Boony wrote:And the same filter just before it goes back in after it got a good coating of castrol spray on air filter oil, my preferred product, it works fine for me.. !!!Boony
I had the spray oil used once by a bike shop and ALL of the oil was gone and coating my air intake and butterfly. NEVER AGAIN will I let someone else oil my filter or use spray oil.

Adam.
What tyres are you running Adam ?
