TB
I took a technical knock out as me f…ing it up and not making it mate !!
That’s what happened !! :laugh:But I will get it one day :cheer:
Aaron wrote:Sounds like a ‘Technical Nock Out’ Nick well done. That top bit with those ledges is a bitch and while its not scary like the bottom is much harder in my opinion as you have to turn the bike left while the front wheel is tying to go over your helmet.I really don’t know how I manage to spin the back out like it did mate , but I’ll take your technical knock out !!
Classic stuff TB, bet Kieran has been talking about that all week !!
singletrackmind wrote:Today is the day for Nickj. So far he has the perfect record of zero makes from zero attempts so I will let you know the tally tonight. Corey and Ev will both be there so there won’t be any pressure on himSTM
All good STM. What’s the worst that can happen ??
Only cartwheeling backwards of a 10 ft + ledge :pinch:

Their seem to be as many good adv fire trails as singletrack in this area so if your keen on a ride let me know !Cheers
Nick
Nice find Holmsie, I always enjoy my time on the DRZ, great trail bike !
ozadvntr wrote:Having grown up around Grafton, I know a lot of riding around there. North, west and south.I am heading down through to Yuragir and the Coast range the week post Easter for a ride. I will be on my 650XC. Have you seen the Barcongere Man?
I haven’t seen the Barcongere Man oz , not even sure what it is ?
I mainly ride around Ashby , Lawrance , Tully Morgan area on the DRZ with a few excursions to Mullaway if I’m lucky enough to get on a ride with STM.On the adventure riding side TB and myself did a top 2 day ride from Grafton on the old road to Glen Innes then up to Tenterfeild and the rocky river road to Drake, up to the Border ranges and back down to my place via Iismore and back of New Italy. It really gave me an insight into how good the adv riding is here.
Hi Oz
I live in Northern Nsw and since getting my Tenere have ventured closer to the qld border, their seems to be good riding to be had in this area.
Be good to catch up for a ride some time.Nick
Great report Oz , I have read about the ride to Betsy in a couple of mags but your report is the best yet.
Nick
I’ve got to agree , the work involved in finding and maintaining tracks makes them very personal and without meeting or riding with someone I would never give over the trails gps coordinates. It’s a give and take thing, I ride with guys up this way that spent years creating great riding and invited me along , I respect their trails by not carrying a gps and overriding the tracks. Also I show guys my tracks and expect the same in return.
The old bull rides are a great way to ride new territory and give other old bulls the same in return without having your trails over-ridden for the rest of the year. I have now been on old bull rides multiple times in some areas but wouldn’t dream of riding their trails without asking them first and I’d hope they would be able to ride with me anyway as theirs always a good laugh and beer to be had at the end of the day.Nick
