That ride from Grafton to Glen Inness the way you have planned is supposed to be awesome
984kms I don’t care if it’s that
I think Moose is in
TB
I’ve edited the kms TB , I didn’t include my place to Grafton or lismore back home. It’s still not 400 km though  Not sure where I went wrong their
Still it looks possible and their are a heap of get out points if needed.
Good stuff Bol!!
It’s going to be great to have you riding this year to Camerons mate, I love my single trail riding but I’ve got to say the adventure riding has got me too. It’s a huge country we live in and would take 2 lives to see it all on singles so I’m all for the ADV experiance.
Looking forward to seeing the bike you chose to do adventure rides ??Hi Snowy
You’re welcome to ride my Drz at wauchope mate, we are similar size and although it won’t be a perfect set up for you , you will notice a huge improvement over stock. This may give you an idea of what potential your bike does have. The settings on my bike didn’t change when I added weight Boony, I think the perfect set up for my weight was achieved and as we don’t ride an adventure ride as aggressively as singles it’s able to do both very well.
A man with a black eye boards a plane & notices the man next to him has a shiner too.The first man says, “How did you get that?”Second man says,”Instead of asking the big breasted girl at the ticket counter for 2 tickets to Pittsburgh I asked for 2 pickets to tittsburgh”.First man says,”I got mine like that too!”I wanted to say to my wife”Pour me a bowl of frosties please” but I accidentally said “Youve ruined my life you fat bitch. “
A real woman really is man’s best friend. She will reassure him when he feels insecure & comfort him after a bad day. She will inspire him to do things he never thought he could do. She will enable him to express his deepest emotions & give into his most intimate
desires. She makes him feel confident & sexy, seductive & invincible….No… Wait…..wait, I’m thinking of beer, it’s fucking beer that does that! Sorry!
Hi Boony
When I used my DRZ for the Cameron ride last year I added a 28 ltr tank and luggage on suspension that had been worked by Tekniks and I thought the same thing, this thing is going to handle shocking.Too right it did. But only for the first 5th of a tank and on new tyres. Once the tyres scrubbed in and the tank was a bit lower it surprised me.
Everytime we fueled up it felt top heavy and scary but I took it on a sand dune single track from broken hill to Menindee with TB up front and Boulder on his Drz close behind and it was some of the best riding I’ve done. I had to keen reminding myself I had panniers on as I got some air off the top of the dunes.
So I think although the handling changes with the mods their is still a heap of fun to be had !!!

Welcome to Obt SirAl , if you get a chance to visit the Nabiac bike museum you will probably find most of those bikes you have owned, I was trying to catch them out thinking theirs no way they would have my first bike ( yamaha FS1e 50) but their it was!!
I too have a DRZ , top alrounder !!
See you on the trails
Nickj
The only thing that is a problem for me Chris is the latest posts bar , I do everything on obt via iPhone so maybe that’s why?
It seems to be very hard to read and distinguish the post from the author, and with no time/date of the post how do we know if we’ve already looked at it?
Apart from that I’m getting used to the change
Great weekend, I ended up covering 1942km since last Wednesday an I’m really happy with the Tenere. Thanks to TB for giving me a bed for a couple of nights and helping me set up the Tenere for this ride, ( and taking the piss out of my bike 😆 Although it’s almost identical to yours:blink: 😆 )
The ride from windsor to Kitchener on Friday was good fun and I saw some parts of the country I didn’t know existed. The pub at Kitchener was tops with the coldest air con ever and a great beer garden/ adventure bikers camp spot!!
TB at the pub
Eagle with his soon to be doomed Kwaka
Boulder and chrisT
Lotsa and Mickp arriving in Saturday morning
After meeting with Lotsa , Mickp , gavb and tryhard we headed to Krambach pub traveling along a bit more tar than wanted ( new sub division and old mapping ment a turnaround but it was fun exploring) the trails through the Barrington tops were awesome and somewhere I want to revisit soon.
After meeting everyone at Krambach we headed to the museum. This place amazed me, I had no idea the would be that many bikes,
Boulder searching for his villiers 175
Boony checking out the classics
A very strange bike with a stranger rear wheel!!
The museum owners put on a great BBQ , kept the beer cold and played bike movies all night!! Heaven!
The ride home with The wauhope/ mid north coast crew was a mix of fast gravel roads side by side with Toes to some tightish trails that strucky lead to get us to Lake Cathie.
Kram was the last familier biker I saw as he turned of in Kempsey for Crescent head. Then I sat back and blasted the last 3 1/2 hours home smiling about the last few days.
Thanks to all the old bulls for making another memorable weekend and to the museum for laying on a top night.
Cheers
Nickj
Once at the
The guys lucky enough to get the Teknik treatment on this weekend will be getting calls from Evil Rudy (Mark) over the next couple of days , if you don’t hear from him please let me know.
Not long now !!!!!
Big ride today to get to my start point for this ride and get gear from Suttos, Tee n Cee, Adventure Moto and Bike biz who will all be getting a wedge out of my wallet!!
767km today, all bitumen unfortunately but good to be on the bike, the Tenere is ideal for me and where I live ,I can do the big transport kms comfortably then a quick tyre change and into the good stuff!!
