I’ll go halves with you on this Scott, as long as you supply the homebrew when we use it!!
Hi Huddo
Welcome to OBT, their are plenty of old bulls in Vic , although I’ve never been lucky enough to ride with any( one day)
I’d been keen to here more about your cross oz trip, what bike did you use? How many did the ride? was it an organized tour ? Etc.Cheers
Nick

Quote:Hey Nick I like your new ride very nice. Will the road tires you put on it be road bias off road ones? Have never heard you talk about the CRF in the back of one one of the pics. My cousin lives on a property east of Armidale and it has a huge gorge on it that you can ride to. I have talked to some of the Tamworth OBT guys about organizing a ride up there. There is a great waterfall around Armidale also that you can ride to. I went there over 20 years ago but don’t remember too much. But I will talk to Ken and find out some more. We could camp etc. I could take the YZ over there as well so you could ride on the farm if we find some gnarly hills. But since you are putting all that protective gear on the Tenere you probably wont need to ride a different bike. One thing I did notice about the farm was the rocks  Just an idea that I had been stewing over.Sounds like a ride brewing Aaron, I’m up for a ride over your way any time , not sure if Tenere and gnarly hill go in the same sentance but I’d have a look, and once it’s armored up maybe a crack!!
Very astute spotting the CRF in the photo too, it’s actually a mates bike who has emigrated to oz from USA in the last 4 months , it’s had the works done to it by one of his best mates. His names Johnny Campbell and he’s pretty good at the Baja
. When TB saw it and found out Johnny had touched it he did things to that bike that made the owner not want it back
Thanks Mick , I’ll get the map out and explore, if im not sure of some of the trails I might give you a PM if that’s ok
Cheers
Nick
Top vids as usual Jeffro, hope the shoulder fixes ok!
Looking forward to more reports looks like a top weekend.

Quote:Hey nickj…you are welcome to leave your tenere tyres in my garage if you want to come to Sydney anytime…I used to live near Armidale in Northern NSW and still go back to see my parents on the farm regularly…regards MickThanks heaps for the offer Mick, I will keep that in mind and give you plenty of notice if I take you up on it!
What’s the riding like around Armidale?? Do you know of any good adventure rides I could take the Tenere on?
Cheers
Nick
The good thing with the Tenere they can get you to where the rides are really comfortably Aido!
I live in Northern NSW and most of the Old Bull adv rides I’m on this year leave around Sydney , the 8 1/2 hour ride down I will do on road tyres then swap to knobbies for the Adventure ride and post the road tyres home for next time!
It’s a great bike to get on more rides with
Well I have had the Tenere almost a week and have done almost 900km and have to say I’m very happy with it, even in standard form it’s pretty good but I haven’t tackled any more than dirt roads so I have ordered some protection for the inevitable get off.
The first of my orders arrived yesturday which I fitted today.
Frame protectors from Touretech
Countershaft sprocket guard from touretech which replaces the standard mud collector
I also fitted my RAM mount for my Garmin GPS and mounted my car gps as a temporary until I can afford a Garmin zumo
I am passing this on to all Old Bulls because it definitely worked for me today, and we all could probably use more calm in our lives. Some doctor on tv this morning said the way to achieve inner peace is to finish all the things you have started. So I looked around my house to see things I’d started and hadn’t finished and, before leaving for work this morning, I finished off a bottle of Merlot, a bottle of Chardonnay, a bodle of Baileys, a butle of wum, a pockage of Prungles, tha mainder of bot Prozic and Valiuminun scriptins, the res of the chesescke an a box a chocletz. Yu haf no idr how bludy fablus I feel rit e now. Plaese sned dhis orn to dem yu fee ar in ned ov iennr pisss. An telum,u fukin luvum.!

My wife buys a ”rampant rabbit with attachments” and she’s seen as a ‘naughty fun girl with a special new toy’.
But when i order a ‘240volt deluxe fistmaster 5000 latex revolving pussy with realistic elasticated anus, imitation shit dribble, semen collection tray, and built in sadistic rape sound system”, then that supposedly makes me some kind of sick pervert.
