Check the lampholder for bent tabs or pins.
Then try running with the headlight on but the globe out. This will eliminate most wiring faults if it doesnt blow a fuse
Then try running in high beam only, or low beam only and see if one or the other blow the fuse. If , for example only high blows then it could be a short in your switch block or the wiring associated with high beam.
A faulty globe isn’t out of the question either, I have seen the occasional globe with an internal fault.

Good luck, let us know how you go.

Only a week to go for this one, what have the trails been like Ev?

We did Coffs – Bellingen – Taylors Arm – Stuarts Point yesterday & there were plenty of one way only trails North & south of Bellingen. Some of them would take a lot of good weather to be able to ride them reverse

    Sounds interesting and fun! :woohoo:

Silicone adhesive was recommended when I did mine so if for any reason they need to be removed an old butter knife would easily cut the silicone off. I have done over 8000km with mine on and they haven’t budged!

Happy New Year to all,! …
Make friends, made amends, lifes way to short
…play safe, stay safe, love & cherish those around you…
Love and true friendship cant be bought,
take time to let those close know how much you care.

But most of all, give anal a try – its 75 per cent tighter and 8 degrees warmer.

Sorry about that one!! But I had to pass it on :D

After a 3 hour single track ride out the back of my place , I called TB and he was already in Grafton. A quick change out of the wet boggy bike gear and I got back on the bike and rode to Lawrence where TB and Salina were already in the pub.
We rode a mix of dirt and tar along the back roads from Lawrence to my house , following the Clarence River.
It didn’t take TB long to sniff out the mini bar and hook into the rums, this secured Salinas position as his driver on new years eve! ;)
We had a good day, swimming ,4wdriving  , taking the p#ss and drinking.

In the evening we had a top meal in Yamba, more drinks and back home for some more bike talk, the women loved it !!!

After bacon and eggs for brekky TB loaded the bike ordered Salina to stop socializing and get on the back, and they were off B)

He wants to make Forster in 4 1/2 hours from Yamba , I said I thought he couldn’t do it that quickly, which means he will no matter what, poor Salina!!

It’s been great to catch up with them both, even though now my wife knows how much I’m going to be spending on my next bike

    .

Fat lotta good if you are out riding with someone on a XR or the likes that doesn’t have a battery ;)[/

I have on several times considered changing bikes to a more single purpose,,but bugger me dead if the Narny just keeps on impressing me with its ability to carry a very inexperienced rider out of the scrub, ride after ride, so I might as well just keep her and throw the blingy bits at her. maybe not to krusty1s extent but just things like a kick start, brakes and softer suspension, (i felt a bump last ride) :woohoo:

    Boony

I’m with you boony , I’ve looked at different bikes too but with things like the kickstart and a suspension makeover the DRZ is hard to beat. The day I ride it and feel it’s got nothing left to give I might change… But what does everything the DRZ can with that reliability, and good looks :D :D :D

I fitted a kick start to my DRZ and it was to bigger job for me, the kickstart lever wasn’t a problem but the decompression side of the kit was beyond me.
The kit was around $350 and install from my local bike shop was about $250.

I have only needed it once but i was very grateful for it !
