Back at TBs now after a 700km+ ride through some of the coldest weather i’ve ridden since europe.
This has been the best and most diverse week on a motorcycle I have ever had, loved every minute and surrounded by a great bunch of blokes.
Heading back to Yamba tomorrow so my ride report will be a couple of days off but i’m sure they will be coming thick and fast now!!I’m in for sure!!
Sitting a cafe in orange now after back tracking via Dubbo and riding through hail then SNOW ….
Tuesday sweating in the desert at yunta, today hot choclates in the snow !!
That’s adventure riding!!!
Plans have changed we’re now heading towards Victoria!!
Just had one of the best rides from Yunta to Broken hill. We got off the tar and rode through twin track next to the railway line sitting on up to 120 kph. Then we hit some wider roads and uped the pace to over 130 with the biggest whoops and sandy creeks.
The last 2 days have been some of the best times I have ever spent on a motorcycle. My foot has been interesting , I’m fairly sure I’ve broken the bone across the top that I broke last year , the puncture from the sleeper is ok but the only way to get a boot on is to take a couple of pain killers , cover it in voltaren , wait till it goes numb and jam it in. I do it while it’s still dark so the boys don’t see the tears !!!
tonight will be a big one at silverton pub then who knows what will happen after that!!
Got here safe and after a real quick ride on some great dirt roads , hitting up to 130 kph with the big 28 ltr tank on the Drz was a new one for me and I loved it!!
Just had a few beers and awesome feed at the Condo hotel, and everyones keen to head in the morning.TB broke news that I’m riding at front with him so got to step up to the mark now !!
Jeffro holds the speed record on the strom with TB and moose close behind.
Food menu looks awesome Boll!
I have already riden this ride every night this week !!
The bikes looking good jeffro!
Good question about the accomadation at condo!Krusty wrote:
Quote:When you going to give us the website addy for loved ones too track us… Pretty please..If all works out I can give every rider the details on Saturday once it’s registered, I know it’s cutting it fine but will do my best.
Sounds like a good idea Nick.
Might be best if we have one person collate all the numbers and they could then pm all the guys going.Great idea Mick I am happy to put it together so if everyone could pm me their name ,address, home phone, mobile, and closest friend or relative that’s always contactable I will then forward to all riders and support crew.
I have had a full upgrade from Tekniks now and it’s more than I ever thought possible with my DRZ , give them a ring and tell them your weight and riding ability and they do the rest.
It’s by far the best money I have ever spent on a motorbike !You do look like a’ Beaches’ sort of guy too STM!!
But apart from the hair your missus is nothing like Bette Middler!
That was a surprize !!Nice one STM , just got to learn to moderate the beers now buddy !!
Hi all
I had a chat with TB about this today and he agrees that it would be a good idea to each carry a list of phone numbers in our backpacks ie. Home, wife, parents, close friend and local doctor.( solicitor)
I also thought it could be good if we each had the other riders mobile numbers and home numbers on that same list , just in case.
I will pm mine to the other riders if all agree this is a good idea and we should all pm each other with the same.Let me know your thoughts ?
Happy Birthday Eagle , have a great day matey!!
