I am mates with our local doctor and decieded it would be a good idea to make an offical appointment and ask his thoughts and advice on our very soon dirt bike trip :woohoo:

His first advice was to take 2 types of anti- biotic on the ride , one for respitory and skin problems and one to combat the sh#ts( not the annoyed type, but the poisoned by bollocks or crap water type)

he also said everyone should have a good heavy bandage in their backpack for 2 unlikely problems( I hope!) , breaks and snake bites.

This vist to Dr. M wasn’t pommie paranoia but prompted by a well travelled mates advice, I have now got some goods drugs that may just return home after the ride but may also make someones day a bit better.

If anyone going feels they want to get some(as I only have enough for 2 doses, although everyone is very welcome to them) too PM me and I will forward the info.

I spoke to a local farmer today who said whilst watching the country hour he heard they were begining a 10 day spray progam of locusts out western NSW.

This sounds like great news for us , anyone else heard the same ??

Thanks Boony, I have a mate with a farm near St. George and he has said the same. But I got another mate heading past White Cliffs tomorrow and he’s going to ring me when he’s out that way.

Not that it matters we’ll be heading somewhere on two wheels and that’s what matters hey !!

I just wanted to thank owl02 for organizing the phone conferance this morning , without it I would have missed out on Bollocks’ back up plans if Peps missus hasn’t had the baby ( I liked the Swedish option  ) and a few things I hadn’t thought of.

So thanks Gary and hopefully you can make the next big ride!
