I just woke up to rain on the north coast and checked the radar, looks like you are going to get a perfect 20mm today then sunny tomorrow. Lucky buggers, I will be at the wedding that stopped me going thinking of you all
have a great ride!!Nick
Sat phone for $25 , bargin!
yes please
I must have been in oz to long Boulder their gone already!!
Plus I’m using an old pommie remidy for fast recovery
A cold 6 pack cures all
I ended up having to work the day out as follow on trades arrive tomorrow and no holiday for the self employed. It will be all good and I’m going on this ride no matter what!
I just thought it odd that this trip should be my first concern
I had a good phone conversation with TB this morning about the gear we’re taking on this trip and other bike related stuff and then I got to work.
10 minutes later my left shin looked like this ,so did my left arm and left thigh,
it was the result of a laborer on a building site throwing low density fibro sheeting onto a 1 st floor verandah. I was with the customer measuring lights when the fibro gave way and I took a quick decent through the verandah , stopping only when my leg bent back enough to wedge my shin between the joists. At 1st glance broken leg for sure,( and possible busted arse).
My point of putting this in the thread is my very 1st thing I thought and said through confusion and pain was “NOOOOOO! The Cameron Corner ride” This surprised the owner who was thinking about getting an ambulance while I was hopping round chanting”walk it off you pussy its not broken”.
Its not broken but very f….ing sore , but it just shows how bike trips can rule your every day thoughts.

Their are always 12v to 240v invertors which are fine to charge from .

check the generator has a constant voltage output or you’ll fry both your chargers and your batteries. Any decrease in voltage will increase amperage and buy buy electronics.I have just fitted a 28 litre safari tank to my Drz and I had to remove the radiator gaurds to get it on, the sides of the tank are quite snug fitting so I’m not sure which radiator gaurds would work with this tank.
I filled it from empty and it was bang on 28 liters.
The biggest surprise was that it made faster fire road riding more comfortable and reduced the wind on your legs.An off camber sharp turn on gravel with a full tank nearly ended in tears but I think that’s to be expected.
Overall I am much happier than I thought I would be with a tank of this size and have yet to see how far it will get me
Theirs a good story in ADB of a Sydney to Cameron Corner adventure bike test ride.
Check out the results of a wet highway from Tibooburra to Cameron Corner. Looks slick
I thought that was the weekend we where swapping bikes for the day ??
I’m really keen to check out this new bit STM so the big tank will be off again next weekend and back to single track set up for the weekend after.
