I have been looking at a few of the long range forcasts and they are predicting the rest of September to be dry so we could be in luck. The slow moving trough that’s bought the rain is on it’s way out

Thanks Boony , so basically it’s a mouthful of dust or a mouthful of mud!!

Hi Nick,
the load looks nice and compact. Lotsa and I both have the small cruiser air hawks which work greatThey taper in at the front and dont get in the way at all when standing and working on the bike.
Have you got photos of the super tent and gear yet.
Lotsa got one of the screens from the link that was posted earlier, but I’m not sure what he thinks about it at the moment. I think he was going to adjust it to see if it worked better.Mick[/quote]
Hi Mick
I have ordered an air hawk and a screen from suttos so hopefully thats the comfort side of things taken care ofBelow are a few pictures of the tent, its very light and compact with the poles all joined together to make it easy to put up. It has a bucket floor which means no pegs are needed and its ideal for camping on sand
Well my B&B rear rack arrived today and has solved all my luggage problems, I had an issue with the saddlebags being to close to the exhaust or too close to my legs when standing. With the rack fitted it allows me to move the bags back and its wide enough to leave plenty of room from the pipe
The picture below is with everything I will be taking on this trip loaded on the bike , and after a test ride and a couple of jumps to try and shake it off I can say its a success
The only thing that will be different is the tie downs will be replaced with Andy Strapz, their will be an air hawk and screen.
The saddlebags have clothes and toiletries in one side and camping stuff ,spares, waterproofs and thermals in the other
The rear waterproof bag has tent, sleeping bag, mattress, pillow and seat
They sound like good people at Pine view station, I can’t imagine what price I would pay for fuel if I thought I was going to run out in that area and it would be a lot more than 2 bucks! That was a nice positive response
your cockpit is looking like a fighter pilots TB
it’s going to be hard for you to remember to look were your going with that lot all lit up.
I am surprised how well it all mounts though, it looks well laid out and usable .Thanks for the update, the route still looks tip top to me !!

That’s strange Menace I tried to get it in the exchaust pipe but even with the baffle out it just wouldn’t fit !
This route is above all of my expectations , I thought their would be a lot of back tracking but it’s new ground the whole way. Excellant
It’s going to make the next few weeks work hard to face knowing what’s ahead, can’t wait !!!
Very very interested TB , been hanging to check out the exact route !

Although I thought I would get a bite in under an hour
Thanks heaps for that JAK I spent way too long looking for a place to mount it and thought an old bull would know!!
cheers
Nick
It was suggested that I fit a 5.8 or 6.0 when fully loaded , even if i have the slightest doubt about handling it will get changed for sure.

TB
I didn’t play with the clickers at all, I spoke to Nick on the Teknik weekend and he suggested to try it as is and thought it might be fine. I did some hard, tight cornering going fairly quick on hardpack and have to say it didn’t feel too different.
I suppose once the back is loaded I will see if I do need that harder rear shock spring , I’m hoping not because it’s now so good in the singles !
