Hey NickJ I read that you were meeting in Orange. I put your trip in Google Maps and it said 820 K and it went through Tamworth. If you wanted you could stop for coffee and meet up with some of the tamworth boys? Just an idea to break up the trip. Hopefully Bol Boony or I could see you off or help out with any niggles that could develop.

    Hi Aaron
that’s the route I am taking to Orange and it would be really good to catch up in tamworth, I will get in touch nearer the time,

    Thanks for the offer :)

This is Mrs.J’s handy work at converting sports bike soft panniers into dirt bike soft panniers ;)

    And I am well happy :) :) :)

Looks good Nick.. I would take them for a good flogging to make sure they hold up well…

Does your misses want to make a set for me? :P :P

I will be giving them a good test run asap, they are very secure but the hardest part is keeping the straps etc away from the exhaust

I don’t think the missus would be too keen to adapt another set it gave her a bit of grief!

I will be trailering the bike to near Condoblin and riding with the other Obts from their.

Tyres have been a big decision for me and I have settled on a Bridgestone Ed78 rear and a Michelin AC-10 front. It took some working out as I don’t want to hassle with tyre changes.

I heard about the fines and also National Parks stopping some of the single track riding from New Italy.

My main sunday arvo loop is Mororo across Tullymorgan to Hyundai hill repeater and back ,its 80km and takes about 3-4 hours, we sometimes go to Whiporie which adds another 50km . All good riding as you’d know :) :)

I heard the doof party was in New italy and he drove it down the hill of his head looking for the way home.

A mate I ride with was asked to give a quote to remove the car with his excavator but considered it too risky, its a bugger of a hill climb without dragging a car too!!

TB Won’t be sure about a car and trailer staying until the strange thing gets worked out ;)

Had a chat today with TB about bag.. I also got a message from lotsa checking in about bags as well.. What is everyone doing for bags? Who is buying what? should we try and do some sort of bulk deal with the same and/or separate model bags?

Lets start a list and see who can provide us with a deal eh?

Krusty – Leaning towards the Wolfman Enduro E10 from Adventure moto

Lotsa – Leaning towards the Wolfman Expedition saddle bags and frames package

Nickj – ?? Have you decided? You seemed to be leaning towards Enduro series last time we chatted?

    Others???

I have got some of my old road bike soft panniers that my wife thinks she can easily turn into an enduro style throw over bag set , with $10 worth of webbing from Spotlight , if this creation fails I will be buying the wolfman E-10 for sure. ;)

Never ridden Yamba. Have done coffs to Bellingen, Taylors arms etc a few times. Great country.
Are you on the beach much or inland stuff?

Camerons Corner would be a good one. I am envious thats for sure. Which bike are you on then?
DRZ400? 650? What exactly are you riding.

I mainly ride inland from Yamba either Iluka side to Whiporie or Candole Forest both have a good mix of singletrack , hills and fire trail.

For Camerons Corner I will be riding my DRZ 400 its the only bike I own ( apart from a 1978 Honda xl250s  ) so I use it for pretty much everything :)
I have looked at the Dr650 but I’m going to see how the 400 goes!!

    Hi Katgirl
I bought an R-jays Dakar last weekend for Cameron corner trip and price wise it’s spot on , I will only be doing a few trips like this each year and I think it will be good enough for that.
The fit is a lot different to my motocross and road lids but I think noise reduction will be appreciated when sitting at speed. It is still all washable and it’s nice and light compaired to the shoei. :)

    Hi Trev and welcome

I live near Yamba and ride a lot locally but have managed to get on the Camerons Corner ride. This is the ride I will be seeing if the Drz makes a good adventure machine
