Thanks to your initial advice Corey you have improved that bike heaps, it’s amazing what a little time mucking with the settings can acheive!
Ok I have now lowered my forks back to 5mm and the compromise was perfect , I spent 3 hours with STM riding his single tracks and it was one of the fastest most enjoyable rides I’ve had!
Thanks for all the advice , I think the problem is sorted!
It’s now going to be even harder to part with the DRZ:)

Yaaawwwnn!
I hope that’s your little finger??!
Is that all you’ve got??
In Vic do you need ctp if you are only riding with Recreational rego?
Can you insure a dirt bike on limited kms like a classic? It’s this type of bs that makes guys ride un regoed , I was considering the husky310 for that reason. No point now!

If you bleed the screws with the forks partially compressed you effectively are reducing the air gap and the travel of your forks as the they will not want to travel back to full extension due to the vacuum effect.
As was mentioned above,
I have been reading this thread, and it appears that you guys are bleeding your forks whilst on the bike or with the bike sitting on the ground.
My understanding is the front of the bike (forks) must be supported so as there is no downward pressure; or else when you bleed it you are effectively reducing the air space.
I am assuming that fork bleeders are same!I would only bleed the air when the front wheel was suspended, the problem I found was the bleeders were drawing in air and pressurizing the fork causing handling problems.
I have now ditched the bleeders and the front end is much more predictable and when I loosen the screw a fraction of the air is released compaired to when I had the bleeders.
That was great to see Scotty ,I love that section!
It’s my youngest girls 2 nd birthday party today so no riding , I think you just gave me my fix though !!!
is their anyone who has bought pivot pegz and not noticed a riding improvement or not liked them???
develop a home brew with all the fully loaded goodness and thats all i,ll take!!

i see what you mean, i have been planning this trip for 2 years and my fully loaded is what I think I will need but only the minimum!
ie; swag, gps, new obt tee and stubbie cooler!!! 😆
Hi TB
what are your first impessions of the weight or the tenere?
Is it low cog? I have been looking at a bike for a cross oz trip in 2 years time and the yami is on the short list I was just concerned that after fully loaded she might be a bit over- weight!Uncle Fester wrote:
