This is a great ride report , loving the vids underhonda , it looks like there’s a bit of everything at the Watagans .

Nick
Welcome to Obt , I have Barkbusters on every bike without fail , great product !!
As for the RD LC it was one of the craziest bikes on the road when I was 17 only topped by the Suzuki 500 2t Gamma ( eventually banned from uk roads due to so many young deaths
)It would be great to see some pics of the RD again !!
Nick

Happy birthday mate

Same here , I had a shim fitted and after 1 decent ride at Micks they closed again . False economy in my opinion if the valves are the standard shit ones.
Nick
I’d be keen to hear what happens here junior , I think the klr is a good thing and on my list of possible future toys

Nick
As TB said , I got under 15 hrs after a second shim and they closed again, save the hassle go the Kibble whites ( 92hrs now
) and as a bit of a bonus throw in a stage 2 hot cam , you’ll love it

He said he has no idea what I was measuring but the intake valve clearance is bugger all and needs re shimming. He also suggested that the new spark plug i put in must have been second hand. Although on closer examination the new one was actually in the spares box, so not sure what i was doing that day. perhaps I should stick to my day job.
So to avoid me cocking it up any further when I get the new shims he is going to supervise me putting it back together as apparently he doesnt trust me – no idea why.
Glad you worked it out Snowy , how many hours has she done now ?
Sounds electrical mate being so intermittent , have a look for a pinched wire under the seat that may be shorting out when you sit in different positions when starting. I ended up pulling out my complete centre loom and replacing it because of a similar problem. It’s very easy to do and you should have got a spare loom with the bike if that is the issue.

Have a top day Jeffro

Happy birthday !!
