That being said the 250s are fast in the tight stuff. Great if ya race I guess. The way I see it fast bikes for racing, powerful bikes for fun. :woohoo:Trailboss wrote:If a 250 was really that much faster why do dudes win on 450s not 250sTB
Two words, Daniel Milner? :whistle:
Funny you should say that Scotty, I bought the 450 to set up to do a couple of things one being a few pony express races where the extra power may help but for the fact I have an easier and more achievable ( for me ) maintenance schedule …
But I really like my 250 for the tight technical riding where , unless a gearing change makes a lot of difference , ‘THIS’ 450 didn’t suit me

1st job is to strip it right down, do a valve check , replace -chain and sprockets , all bearings , service the forks and shock , new rubber , brake pads , brake fluid and coolant then…….
ride as hard as I dare :woohoo:

Adam.
I’ll start by a gearing change to calm it down off the bottom and go from there , maybe if I ride both enough it’ll feel like I own a 350

he did the same lay down 10 hours later after the auction
Bloody nice looking bike mate :woohoo:
Thor Force guards served me very well and I’m sure saven my knees in a few decent offs but as has been already said knee braces close to guarentee the save !!
I have the Asterix cell 2 which are adjustable but I think I would go the gen 1 that most old bulls wear if I had my chance again. It’s great that you can adjust the brace simply but I find as you warm up and cool off the braces can become either tight or loose depending. When riding they stay put but if your helping a mate ( or yourself ) on foot up hills etc they can move a bit. Not enough to be a great concern but the red originals seems faultless

You really are taking this seriously mate …… and rightly so

Hi James , I can’t help with info on the courses mate but check out Ned Suesses instructional DVDs. Steve at Adventure Moto keeps them and they really help when it comes to throwing the big bikes around

Funny vid Adam , love it

Thanks to all for a cracking weekend , it’s so good to catch up with the usual suspects and meet a heap more both on the trails and round the fires
The riding was fun and I’ll never forget STMs lap on the postie ( I was with him every step for support
)
It was also nice to help the new King out of the Wauchope camps ravine , it was a big challenge ( shame we weren’t riding but on foot late Saturday night
)
Cheers to TB and Chris for a top site that’s made some life long friendships !!
