LC4skin wrote:Have you decided who is doing the first lap? If so how did you decide?
Most experienced rider was chosen LC , a few races under his belt and a top bloke for saying yes
Spud starts the day :woohoo:

singletrackmind wrote:I watched the videos and a lot of design work has gone into it. By the time matey sets it up though I would have unloaded my bike from the ute, thrown up my dome tent, gone for a ride, drank a 6 pack of beer and pissed in that beautiful lake it was filmed next to. :laugh:STM
Not true though !! You’d have pissed in the dome tent well before you noticed the lake

First carefully and sneakilly attach your transponder in the airbox of one of the heros. Then load up a big backpack full of piss and munchies and a small bushsaw. On the sighting lap pickout a narrow bushy section of the track and set up camp, including using your saw to cut a 50mm branch about 2.4m long. Then settle back and count the laps the hero does and when you judge it to be the last lap step out of the bush and belt him across the chest taking him out. Carefully stash the body , piling your empty tinnies around him to explain his accident and refit your transpomder from his air box. then proceed to the finish line covered in glory.PS take a wet cloth with you in case some blood splatters on your riding gear when you hit him.
  your a bad man Snowy !!!
I like it
Some great advice and tips that I’m sure will help a lot
Does anyone use magnesium ? Ev put me onto it and it made the last Lowanna ride a lot easier by easing the cramps.
Cheers

Ollie wrote:ride fast enough that you dont fall offThe falling off is the part that slows you down and gets in your head  smooth and in control is the way uses a lot less energy. When waiting for your team mate relax have something to eat and drink, make sure you have a piss, when your racing you dont need to think about all the other stuff you gotta concentrate on being smooth. Enjoy it for what it is,remember your priorities as well, family friends income, your there to have fun and a challenge, your not racing for “sheep stations”
Ollie
Thanks Ollie , sound advice that I’ll take on board mate

That looks like a tidy bike and Stms WR 250f was a great bike, as he was also on his L’s at the time it served a couple of purposes
I think the advice you got on the WR 250r was spot on , very capable bike and super reliable adv mount too. All you’d need is a larger tank and some bags and you’ve got 2 bikes in 1.

I was right into Kiss at about 13 , then once I discovered the pleasures of beer and herbal cigarettes it was Pink Floyd all the way , I got a ticket to a charity gig they headlined at Knebworth in 1989 for 10 pounds at a pub the night before and stood through – Tears for Fears – cliff Richard – Status Quo – dire Straits – Eric Clapton – Elton John and Paul McCartney before Floyd graced the stage and I smoked a sad excuse of a joint with some fellow hippies and watched the best show I had ever and probably will ever see
Listening to Shine on you crazy diamond from the Wish You Were Here album still takes me back to that night ( minus the enhancing substances of course !!)Nick
It’s my daughters 11th birthday Friday Nato so I’m out mate , have fun !!!
