Whats better 720 0r 1080 (upload /download time ,quality, is 720 good enough or would you just go 1080)

I’m sick of forgetting to get camera out and or twisting like a pretzel to get it out.

I have the 720 Bob and the quality is very good , same as DVD, the upload time to YouTube isn’t too bad but whatever you get YouTube will compress it to 340 (I think ?) unless the person watching adjusts their settings.

If you want the footage more for your own personnel use I would go the 1080 but if your mainly uploading to YouTube the 720 is fine in my opinion .

    Hi Nick,

Have you settled on a solution?

    Soft like this?

    ActionSL1combo_L2.jpg

    or this one?

    2347_d_l.jpg

I’ve been using the top one for almost 12 months now Krusty and I like it , it gets used about 3 times a month and washed after every ride and is showing no signs of wear yet ,I’ve also had plenty of offs to test it out !! :D

Chris-T has the bottom armor and regrets buying it , he says it moves around too much and is a bit bulky.

Just heard this tip and it sounds like a good one ;)

    Has anyone done this ?

The night before your ride get a zip tie or something similar and tie your front brake lever on. The pressure from the brake being applied over a number of hours will force any air out of the fluid and will give you a firm feeling front brake instead of a spongy one.

Interesting day out mate , I get the electric thing but can’t see it catching on until we’ve sucked all the oil out of the ground and implode !!

I saw a car in brisbane last week & it had a sticker that said ” I miss Moree”. So i smashed all the windows, stole the stereo, left some empty vb cans inside, crapped on the bonnet & left a note on the windscreen saying ” I hope this helps.”

This thing is tiny, LOVE it!! It actually fits perfectly in the mouth opening/vent thingy of my helmet … gonna try that for an optional mount point.

Already downloaded to app for WiFi control/viewing etc .. will be a while before I can upload any action Vid’s from it though (you all know the story), unless my garage and back yard are of interest :) , or maybe the streets of Redfern

Thanks Nickj for the original post, I was looking for an alternative to a GoPro stuck to the top of my noggin’

(my photo’s on the stainless bench top are lousy, sorry)

Nice one Razzle , look forward to seeing some footage , how about some free running around the Redfern sights to give us an idea of quality if the bikes a no go at the moment :)

They do look like a good alternative to the GoPro , did you get a mounting kit ?

I got an early knock off and got stuck into a bit of maintenance , firstly and most importantly I fitted a new billet fuel cap as the original is obviously inferior and had to be changed :D.

Then I pulled off my front wheel as the moose I fitted 4 1/2 months ago seemed very very soft and unstable on the Bello – Lowanna ride and sure enough it was split all over the place and mushy :( . This can’t be a commen problem after that amount of time so it must have been something I did ??? Don’t know what ??

I’ve got a new S12 coming this week so I wanted to have the wheel stripped and ready , on inspection I found one of my front bearings seized solid so I did both bearings and seals and the brake pads so I know the front ends all good for a while :)

I used the air filter cleaner I got from Lefty and it’s great stuff and cleaned my filter in no time ;)

Oil change and air filter oil and fit tomorrow ( maybe ) !!
