Top story Menace
I’ve got a soft spot for restoring the old bikes , I started a BSA Gold star in the UK but emigrated before getting very far.
Was it easy to source the parts ?

!Yeah right !!!!! Wasn’t it you that changed gear half way up , lost momentum , restarted and began the carnage. I wasn’t going to mention it but as you’re talking up your shit I thought I should

There’s a big choice out their Scotto , I have had an over bar Roc- Stomper that is easy to turn on and off and worked a treat. I also have the Ralle Moto damper which is under bar and has a zero friction return to centre and a half friction return to center setting that works well. I’m looking into one for my Crf but I really think it depends on the type of riding you do most as they all have a similar principal but different features to suit what you ride.

I have never used one so i guess i dunno what im missing but in saying that im not sure id need it?I’ve always had one and found it had to get used to the light front end of the Crf without it. Having said that I am starting to get used to it and find it strange getting on the Tenere with one fitted and usually start the ride at the very lightest setting then increase it as I go.
Rory suggested the best thing is to get the front suspension dialed in first to take care of most of the deflections then see if I still want one. I like riding singles mainly on the 250 and don’t do much at all on fast fire roads but as TB said ‘ it only takes one decent hit at the end of the day when your fatigued and it could be a damper that saves you !’. Very good advice I think

Will it be the Yamaha WR 250 R Honda equivalent ??
I’m a big fan of the pillow tops Boony , but some riders with little hands get arm pump as they are fairly large
