Only trouble there Pete is the speed limit , 40 kph along Stockton , they have the radar out there at times too , If ya want sand , go out to the Pilliga Scrub Forests , it is mostly sand out there . The only pigs out there have Four legs and Really stink .It is also legal to shoot them
.
Tell Clive I’ve been sending positive thoughts his way Brendan , that should fix him up
5 mins before it all turned pear shaped for Fish .
Good luck with the OP Clive , you are one tough nut .
Cheers
AlanPS . I also would like to thank those Old Bulls that helped out with a sticky situation on Wednesday afternoon and night , namely
Katgirl for finding TB’s number quickly
TB for organizng Bollocks to collect Boulder and Fish’s bike
Boony for allowing a KTM in his Man cave :SCheers Guys and Girl , it’s great to be a part of a family that looks after their own.
Has the place changed hands in the last 12 months ?
A colleague of mine was organizing an event about 12 months ago and wanted some info about over nighting at MT Seaview and did not get any reply from management to his enquiry , he has used the venue ( Mt Seaview ) many times in the past for his business ventures but got no reply this particular time to his enquiry so we all ended up ….. up the Oxley about 100 km at Walcha for the event , this event was the focus of about 60 riders’s weekend ….. so was not a small event , Walcha hosted the event and loved it .
I have stayed at The resort at Mt Seaview several times years ago and it was great , I really hope the place has it’s shit together once more and can reclaim the mantle as the venue to be at on the Mid North Coast for forest Adventures again .
Cheers Alan
Did anyone notice that the exhaust pipe exits from the the rear on the Yamaha ?
Did anyone notice that the exhaust pipe exits from the the rear of the cylinder on the Yamaha !
Makes it look like a pure MX bike with temporary lights to me !
Shame for trying to pull the wool over our eyes Yamaha !
I have 2 x 6 L dromedary water bladders , they are veterans of 2 Simpson Desert expeditions now , both perfectly water tight and will be for as long as I look after them . Good bit of kit
.
Good to read that you`re home PTW , I`ve been home since Thursday night but have been laid up with a stomach bug , road food I think being the culprit , I`ll prolly lose some more kg`s because of the bug , no harm done  .
When ya get a new rim give me a yell and I`ll come around , or you can come over here , and I’ll help ya put it together , it`s a lot easier job than most would have ya believe . I `ve built about a dozen or so wheels now , takes me about an hour from start to finish . About the same time it takes to polish off a six pack  .

You going to the bakery at Bourke
TB
I’ll go to the Bakery if I have time , see how it pans out , If I don’t catch you in Bourke I’ll catch ya’s on the Hungerford rd :woohoo: or at Hungerford for lunch . I’ll fuel up at the BP in bourke and head NW if I am behind schedule .
Cheers

I’ve had no dramas , must be because I am ridin` a KTM V twin Aye ………..
I will see the Cripples and Pete in Bourke about 10 ish Friday , gunna do Carinda via Mendoran and Coonamble Tomorrow and the Carinda to Bourke stretch should take me about 2 hrs on Friday Morning . I might stay with ya’s to Birdsville and back to the Corner , just ta laugh and poke fun at the drama queens
On a serious note , I will ride with ya`s from Bourke to Big red and back to the corner , cause I think you 2 cripples might wear Pete out with your ” needs” at overnights and stops along the way , I’ll help Pete out and share the Load
.
And Pete and I can take a six pack each and leave the Cripples to their devices and go for a wander around and check out the places we stop at :cheer: .
April 30, 2013 at 1:13 am in reply to: Tugboat ride, 3 Teneres to toast a Legend Birdsville 2013 #240625I have an NRMA map in front of me that says 219 km from Bourke post office to Hungerford via Fords Bridge ),I’ll check another map and see if it is different .
Checked a UBD state map and it says 215 km via Fords Bridge ( straightish line )
Just remember when a bushie says its just down the road  ……….. it could be 300 k’s away , it’s all relative to where you are ……. and how isolated you are used to living .Same goes for bushie Km’s , when a bushie says about a hundred k’s he is usually understating the distance by quite a margin

It’s 12 closer to 1 pm arrival  midday then have lunchleave 2 ish and 150ish to Thargomindah fuel up and leave 4 ish ( roo time  ) or stay. That’s the planned overnight stay, where is the race in that? Next day 420 to Windorah and its still only Sat. You must be getting old Al  I reckon if we wanted and had a go we could and would do Trangie to Windorah on the first dayTB
I was more trying to suss out your route from Trangie to Bourke , and by your reply it is obvious , doing the main drag , dodging Roos , goats and sheep at 110 kph
, look out for plod too , he’ll be sitting about 10 -20 k out from one of the 60 k zones ( towns) along the way .
I might extend my Thursday stretch to Sandy Camp in the Macquarie Marshes, that way I can do mostly dirt into Bourke and still be there by 10 , where are you likely to refuel ? I will use the BP out of town on the rd to Nth Bourke ( and Hungerford ) because they do premium at a reasonable price . The Bourke Bakery in town does a magic coffee and food too if anyone is in need of one or both , come to think of it , I may have to stop there and refresh my memory of the coffee .

So what is your Friday game plan ?
Ummm Friday night will be either Thargomindah or further. Lunch Hungerford unless we are early in which case who knows? Not going through Innamincka now the thieving pricks there can stick the joint up there arse  when will you be in Birdsville Al? We are supposed to be there lunch Sunday but may just hump out into the desert and go west until its time to turn back for Monday?
TB
Hungerford is around 2 hrs from Bourke …….. are you slabbing it from Dubbo to Bourke ?
Last time I was in Hungerford we had overnighted in Bourke and still had an early lunch in Hungerford before going on to Thargo for fuel and the Noccundra for a night camped accross the road from the pub next to the billabong .
Seems to me you might be pushing it a bit hard time wise , it’s not a race ……. is it ? 👿
