Thanks for that I have a small guard on there. But I burnt my pants just in front of where your guard stops would you believe. I know exactly where bc part of my pants are still melted onto it  .
Interesting point about the p3 being a mud collector…..they’re pretty pricey too.
Rach if this little kid can change a tyre I think we girls can manage it.

sounds like you’re having fun in the shed Rach.
Does your bike header pipe get hot? I’m looking at getting this for my bike
Sick of burning the inside of my leg! It burn clean through my new pants the other day.
I can highly recommend this book too.

Its on the kindle store.
Have fun.Thats an understatement and a half Murph!
I’ll go and do the easy loops without anyone else at my own pace thanks. That way its not embarrasing when I stall it bc I’m too slow .
You guys are quick.
awww the kids always look adorable in the gear !
My second eldest daughter had a go on a 70cc on Sunday bc she has been bugging me for ages. Her father was NOT impressed but to his great relief she hated it. Then said ‘oh well Daddy looks like you’ll have to get me that horse after all’
My 4 yr old son jumped on and a mate sat behind him steering……….yeah I know which kid will be getting a motorbike. The look of pure joy on that kids face when he realized HE was controlling the speed.
So I’ll be looking for a cheap 50cc by the end of the year I think. What are the better clubs around here to join? I figure I should probably join then when he is old enough I’ll be able to help him.
wow that looks like a great ride! Good job on the video.
Where exactly is this ‘basin run’ ?? I’d love to have a crack it one day..
Bring it on Kat! I could use a ride full of giggles. hmmm I think these types of rides need a name ?
Oh I called the bike Antonio …..paying homage to when the Italians owned it for a while.
What are your bikes called?Deal TB!
They are my fav brand. Had to make a guess at what flavour you liked though
I have kid sports on every afternoon after school apart from wednesday though.
Flying Fish wrote:Great Ride report Old Girl!!!Top job just getting out there and giving it a red hot go, love your spirit! :woohoo: Like Pete the Wulf said soon you will be ripping it up for sure.
Can’t wait to hit the trails with you sometime soon.
Flying Fish
That would be great. Give me a few months to get my head around this bike first. Not that I care if I look like a rubber chicken on a pogo stick when I’m riding just so long as I don’t fall off
.
pete the wulf wrote:oldgirl wrote:Does he do exhausts as well? Just want to shush it up a bit. What ????? Your such a girl OG
PTW
   yeah I know
  changing it back is easy enough. I’m just glad I found out bf I tried taking it off road again. I wouldn’t have had the confidance to argue with the friend that changed the settings…but if I say ‘well TB said!’ he’ll shut up and listen bc he knows you….
hmmm only problem with taking bike to someone else is THEY get to do it.
Thanks guys I need to learn to listen to myself a bit more I think.
From talking you lot I think I’ve been fed a lot of BullS&*T by some local riders trying to talk themselves up. Oh well some men are prone to over exaggerate I suppose
I was told to toughen up that was an easy ride.
Thank you for telling me that TB. I need to learn to trust my bum
because riding it home this afternoon after it was changed the bike felt less ??sharp?? not sure if thats the right word. Love being able to touch the ground but the agility was there. Now I know why.
I didn’t lower the bike myself actually I did ask someone for advice though . But what the other guy did is EXACTLY what you said. The front forks lowered as far as possible through the tripple clamps and the rear spring was wound right down.
I mentioned that doesn’t fiddling with the forks and springs effect the feeling on different terrain. Isn’t that why some of the new bikes are fitted with those clicky things so you can change it for different conditions??
I was told that I wanted the bike to be soft  Maybe I wasnt explaining myself properly.
Oh well no harm done he was just trying to help. I was complaining at the time that I got ‘stuck’ trying to turn around on the track bc I couldn’t touch the ground to push it backwards…….he just told me that good riders don’t need to turn around like that
Thankfully I always stick my nose in when ever someone is working on any bike and ask tonnes of questions so I know how to put it back to the orginal setting quick smart
Yep think I need to go and talk to Nick. Does he do exhausts as well? Just want to shush it up a bit.
you’re right rach. I had someone take the front forks and rear spring down a bit this afternoon. Makes me feel alot more comfortable in the saddle now that my feet are closer to the ground.
Odd isn’t it that women like to be able to touch the ground? I know some guys that have to stop next to a tree bc their bike is so high.
Stuff that it freaks me out too much.
Only problem with lowering the forks and spring is it changes the ride of the bike. Where a lowering link allows you to still mess about with how soft or hard you like the ride to be…… well I think thats right from what I’ve read. I’m sure and OBT will correct me if I’m wrong
ok this next sentence will probably get me into trouble but…
Antonio was really hard on Sat and now he feels a bit squishy. I still have to figure out if I like it hard or soft.dear god there was no other way to say that with out it still coming out wrong….
