hmmm TB ….. see blue is def the sexier color
Yep I went on the ride up to Newnes on my own. Thanks for the offer of the spot tracker TB but I was fine….this time.
Will put up a ride report with a couple of pics in a minute
Yes Rach its HEAPPPSSS taller! In fact i think I might fit a lowering link to it even.
Bike loaded
Car packed
Alarm set
Riding solo tomorrow now. Actually very pleased about this can spend some quality , going at my own pace, time with Antonio .
Sorry TB you did ask?
You go the white…..we’ll always accept you no matter what flag you fly
Still say the blue is sexier than the white though..
Flying Fish wrote:You poor bugger Razzle.Just get ready for the pain to get worse before its gets better. I broke a rib and I think the pain peaked at about 2 week later. :pinch:
To help me feel better I went out and bought another bike. Couldn’t even load it on the trailer myself, but it made me feel better……… this is otherwise known as retail therapy. I think most normal girls might have bought shoes or a handbag….i went for motorbike number two.
Flying Fish
Amy I like your style…
Razz according to the doc he says hug a pillow if you think you’re going to sneeze and or wrap a towel around your chest. Also, take the panadol every 4 hrs EVEN if you don’t feel any pain you need to keep a certain level of the drugs in your body so it wont hurt as much when you do sneeze.
I thought you only ride a Tenere when you are trying to hold off having to ride a Spider bc well….age and the balance not being what it used to be

Blue!
White is ..well….Gay.
Black screams mid life crisis
But the blue is hot.
Listen to the ladies TB men have no sense of style
At risk of sounding like a complete female….
OMG OMG OMG soooo excited :woohoo: :woohoo:
You’re the best TB
I’m actually seriously interested in doing this ….next year…..
maybe we could get a ‘girls’ team together for it?? It looks like so much fun!
Mr Dirty
Hussey
Sandy—in a bikini
LC–interesting choice of names there
hmmmm I’m seeing a theme.
so I went onto the web to check out any good looking factory riders to name the bike after…found one in particular …..but seeing as he used to ride for Ballards and now for KTM (and lives in port M I’m not taking the risk that someone on here actually knows him!! How embarrassing would that be. :laugh:Naming your bike ? Why not . The kids call my car ‘Johnny’.
I think I’ll need to spend some one on one time to let the bikes personality come out first
…..Last husky I rode had this ‘fabulous’ vibration-ish feeling to it…..I would have call that bike Antonio
hmmm is yours a boys name or a girls name Rach?
Dude…Sandy?? Blonde or Brunette?
I wonder what the other oldbulls call their bikes?
Ok I bought one!
Its the 09 Husky TE310. Strucky’s old bike actually.
I decided at this stage of my life I want to get my skills up on the tougher trails/ enduro type stuff. I really admire the skill and control those guys have and I’d love to learn how they do it.
I also need to stop watching Red Bull Hare Scramble etc and get back to my study
I’ll still come out on a few nav rides bc I can change the front sprockets for the ride.
The WR is still a good all round bike though.
I’m riding Newnes on Sat with some guys that will take personal pleasure in seeing me flat on my butt so I’m nervous as hell. But it will be a great bonding experience for me and the new addition to the family.
um nah it hasn’t been frustrating at all …..Just as TB …I’ve been so patient could have waited another couple of months even……….
I’m planning on taking it nice and easy bc I think I will actually cry if I wreck this on
Justo wrote:ps. Will be keeping old girls rant in the back of my mind from now on….   ah boys will be boys
Having said that I’d probably would have told you to toughen the *&( up and ride out.
razzle wrote:Thanks Mick for the “Razzle styled it up all day” comment, and Bol for the “smashing himself up with style and a smile”, BUT;After 4 hours at the lovely Kempsey Hospital today, I have a broken (completely snapped) collar bone and three cracked ribs … no wonder that last 20 or 30k’s f*ckin hurt like hell! :pinch: I actually don’t remember much of that last bit of the ride … thank you adrenalin :woohoo: And why do doctor’s always give you “that look” when you say “it was on a dirt bike”?! Bugger off and get a life! 👿
Anyway, my mantra has now turned to that of Snowy09, “there’s no such thing as too much body armour”!
So I’ve got 6 to 8 weeks of no riding (f*ck it!), 6 to 8 weeks to shop for LOTS of armour, new goggles (they got screwed over by some stray vine), new helmet (smashed the peak and scratched the shit out of it in “the incident”). 6 to 8 weeks.
I remember looking back and seeing Bol shaking his head at my moment of idiocy, my immediate thought was “how embarrassing, f*ck I’m an idiot” … then the pain started, I really didn’t care about being an idiot after that, funny … my only thought was “there’s no way I’m getting chopper’d out of here, keep riding, not far to go”. I must have asked Mick at least ten times “much further, is the next bit easy?”. :pinch:
Anyway, LIVE and LEARN, it was a great day, only screwed up for myself, by myself. Never again.
Actually, my only regret is not introducing myself to each and every one of you, even to say g’day …. next time.
Razz.
WOW! You rode with a snapped collar bone!! Hero status is coming your way. They hurt like hell!
Hmmm seeing as at least one person always seems to need proper medical attention on these rides perhaps my hubby should follow in the 4wd on the next big ride (seriously I think this might actually be a good idea). He’s an ED specialist, and qualified to give anesthetics and yes he does give the ‘your a dick’ look to injured Motorbike riders. I get it frequently   But he would be happy to do it. Just don’t ask him to ride.Honestly, you Razz you could have done some serious damage to your lungs if you had of fallen off a second time ribs through the chest wall is common. Plus there are some major arteries near the collar bone severing one of those with the broken bone and they would have been taking you out in a body bag.
Ok thats my nagging over…….You are a my new hero. :cheer:
Hi Sharpie,
I’m in Blaxland so pretty close to you. Hope to see you out on the trails soon.
Thanks for that info Fish. I’d like to try these nav man rides they look like fun so a bike that is adaptable is probably the way to go.
I went and spoke to the guys at penrith yamaha this morning. They don’t have anything in at the moment except for a new 2011 wr250 for 10K.
The salesman said that getting a TTR would be a step down from the WR.I’ve been looking at Strucky’s TE310 (09) bc I know the history of the bike etc. but TB keeps telling me to be patient and wait for the right bike.
I’ll never be a great rider so a beginner bike will last me for a long time I think.
Great advice guys Thanks
