Happy Birthday there Steve
All the best people are born in Feb mate 😆Great pics kat.
I think my bike may need some serious attention it won’t even start. I’ve stripped it down so I can get to the battery and filter and fueses. Only prob is I don’t really know what I’m looking at lol. Now that I see the bike frame for what it is I tjink all the weight is in the engine.
I’m thinking ill de register it and use it as a rebuild project to learn more about how they work.Might need to start a new thread. The “chinese revolution ” maybe 😆
lol nice to hear the story surrounding my chinese extraction.
Thanks so much guys for resucing the poor thing. Nice black tape job TB. I was surprised at how upset I actually was about leaving the bike there , bought a huge smile to my face to see it clunk off TB’s trailer this afternoon.
I’ll post some photos of the state that she’s in. I’ve already contacted the parts supplier to order in new bar, new speedo kit, head light kit, and indicators.
I haven’t tried starting it (least I have the keys now) bc everything seems to be disconnected around that area???
Hmmm maybe I should take off everything that looks broken and see what I have left? Anyone feel like helping me fix it is more than welcome 😆 Did I mention I have a 3/4 pool table, dart board and endless supply of beer ……
Anyway,
Think I’ll chuck some road tires on it and sell it ….maybe….or maybe I’ll keep it for sentimental reasonstyres are probably worth more than the bike at the moment.
Thanks so much TB, Mick and Kat. I’m VERY happy to have it home again.
Rach wrote:Thanks Kat and Mick for organizing a fun day and nicely done pressing ahead despite the crap weather. There were some great tracks on offer. So some moments:
– those woops full of water ….. About 20 in a row how good were they?!?!?! :woohoo: :woohoo:
– Turning off the tar and those first 100metres the bike was all over the place I was thinking whoaaa she’s slippery alright, I actually think that first bit was the most slippery part
– old girl after busting her knee still jumping off quick as in the mud to help the next person pick up their bike even though she was sliding all over the place can’t have felt good on the knee! (seriously you are going to have to change your name oldgirl just isnt right!)
– Mick fixing/hot wiring bikes …. It’s like riding with MacGyver I reckon you could fix a bike with a teaspoon in the middle of nowhere
– Whiskey your a champ for offering to be pillioned – can’t be very comfy in that terrain
– Alyssa you are the most prepared person I have ever met! I am sticking close to you
– Steve your a sport letting me work on my roosting target practice …. But to be fair I did let you ride my bike and then you were all how awesome are KTM’s??? (it’s my story so I’ll tell it how I like
)
– that bad moment when I realize I haven’t hit the deck yet then sure enough 5 min later I am trying to wash my bike in puddle  … Thanks Mick and Steve for the CPR you did on my bike!
Of course at the pub that night after a few fine wines the puddles got deeper and rocks got bigger ….. But it really was slippery …. Just quietly i am pretty sure i saw just about everyone drop their bikes at least once  …
Was great to meet some new faces and catch up with some old ones, thanks again Kat and Mick for organsing a top day.
I wish I could have been there for the rest of the day. Was great to finally meet some women as crazy as me. Oh and I think the name OldGirl suits me (everyone like a bit of irony lol).
I lOVED those whoomps too that was soooo much fun. Although I want to be able to do rides like Murph the Surf went on THAT looks like fun. That bike looks good. I’m definately in the market for a new (well new second hand) bike now.
My knee is getting better super quick . Seems the ligament is only bruised (thank god) and I should be back into it in 3wks according to my physio. Until then I’ll have to coordinate my clothes with the lovely yellow and purple colors my knee has turned lol.
I’m spewing that I couldn’t keep going all day I had an absolute ball.
Big thank you to Kat for organising it all , to Mick for doubling me and to WR for not laughing too hard when I fell off into that bull ants nest
.

I’ve booked my room and it has two king singles. I’m happy to share if anyone needs. I don’t snore 😆January 16, 2013 at 9:34 am in reply to: Expression of Interest- 1-3rd Feb Cessnock Singles Development Weekend #235506Count me in for the Saturday for sure. Hubby has agreed to be on babysitting duty that day woo hoo.
Just looked at the pics looked like a great ride.
I was still recovering from a ride on the sunday that completely smashed me and the bike. Friend took me to somewhere near Wisemans Ferry. We found an awesome single track with HEAPS of rocky step ups, deep deep rutts, some sand and soooo much dust. He’s been riding for 20yrs and called the track a ‘skill builder’.
My poor chinese 140kg heap spent alot of time on its side.while I was ‘resting’ (ie, was so exhausted I counldn’t stop the stupid thing from tipping) in the bushes/ rockface beside the track.
Ended up loosing yet ANOTHER number plate, snapped a clutch lever, smashed an indicator and gained SEVERAL new bruises.
Would be nice to do a trail that isn’t going to leave me replacing parts on my bike at the end. 😆
Actually I think the forest around Mandalong will be closed on monday as well to reopen tuesday??
If you’re going first thing in the morning sure! I’ve never riden up there so you’ll have to let me know where to meet you. Text me if you like 0416013769
Thanks for that, you’re right its shut. Bother…
Thanks for the welcome guys!
lol they specifically mentioned you Katgirl at sutto’s
.
I’m heading to zig zag this sunday (cool change coming apparently) trying to get in as many hours riding as I can before my kids get back from grandparents (body permitting  ) .
Can’t wait to meet more of you out on the trails.
