Would changing the jetting give me better economy?

changing the jetting will alter the way the bike performs,

most bikes come jetted rich from the manufacturer, As most people spend most of the time on the needle, manufacturers of performance jets kits base their improvements mainly on the needle, Ie JDjetting. They have a red tipped needle for summer and a blue tipped needle for winter although in Aussie our temps and altitudes are usually not to the extremes of the US. However our fuel is basicly crapola and we have to adjust our jetting to suit.

You will probably get better fuel economy by altering your gearing and trying to ride a gear Higher. The 07 – 09 do appear to be fairly thirsty though and if you intend to ride longer distances a bigger tank would be a good investment ;)

    MG

Gyday Mick, my mate Henke will be leading Sundays ride. No facilities at the camping spot The river is 10 metres from where we camp. There is a big area where we cook up and socialize etc. Dunnies are find a big tree preferably down wind some where
