Back on Topic pleaseTrent Dont be afraid to ask a Dumb Question, best tech advice you can get
The Pins in the piston ring lands are there to prevent the rings rotating, also note that the gaps are staggered to help prevent blowby

Looks Good Merlot
Is that the soft seat option? (good investment)

I think Stevie Wonder has his threads mixed up
As far as the chain goes Boony, Dont bother fitting it to the DRZ they are not O Ring and will stretch to uselessness in about 1 ride  Save your coin and get a quality chain.

Welcome Diddel, Good to see your on a 300 Gasser
Will undoubtedly catch up with a ride with you soon enough. Good to see your keen, I reckon it is good for a young fella to ride with the old blokes,as he can pick up some trail skills and maturity that would otherwise be only gained from his own experiences, often with associated pain

Quote:Hey There I just bought a helmet cam from Aldi supermarket for $149.00 although in addition to this i needed to buy a 2 gig sd card for $8.00. i havent taken it out on the bike as yet but playing around with it at home it is fantastic . plugs direct into the tv to play or directly into the pc, takes two AA battries and is about the size of a toilet roll core, comes with heaps of straps and attachmenents for helmets or handle bars etc etc. regards SteveI believe the Aldi ones are actually re badged Oregon Scientific. The first version,I have the newer version which is better but I still dont think it is as good as the Go pro or Helcam pencil camera. Good price though

I have been held up by the gasser at Wauchope and passed him twice that day in conditions that suit the lighter bike but hey what do I know  Just give upShit I got roosted to when he got stuck in the bog hole and I slammed into his back wheel
Hey if I was 85 kilos I would have a WR 250 F everyday of the week but that’s just me
Maybe we should just get back on topic eh? If its that important start a thread
TB
Who said I was stuck
Honestly, I do enjoy four stokes but I sold my WR450 to get back on something I could ride all day.The 450 just beat me up
A 250F in the tight stuff would be great ( I also have a KXF250)and know how quick and fun they can be. But 4 me a 2 stroke is where its at. You can lug them down to near zero revs and also have them screaming their tits off at the flick of the clutch.
If I was in the Market for a new 2 stroke then this bike would definatley be on the list.

Quote:I can’t with go under bar on the Sherco as I like the bar high and have tried higher bars. The Husky I haven’t tried higher bars yet (I haven’t had the bike for three weeks either).I have always being concerned about ripping my nuts off in an over the bars excursion, but a pad over the dampener may reduce the dammage.
I had a look at Champos WER and it needs welding to the head stock. Not overly keen on welding on the Husky.
Mal you dont have to weld! you can Rivet or bolt a bracket on. The WER are very good Dampeners although a little hard to adjust on the fly! I also have ROC Stomper,it goes pretty good but I tend to bump it off sometimes,I think the new ones have been changed somewhat. What about GPR good units at a good price?

And the fastest bike around the grass track was the heaviest bike at Louee
But I understand how light weight can be a benefit hey Mal, when you have to push it home
Sorry mal it just came out, couldnt stop it
Each to his own I say
Now where are the pictures of this said smoker?
TB
Maybe the fastest bike around the Grass track was also the heaviest, It was a consistency trial was it not? but if you had to do maybe a full days riding at same speeds in tight shitty hard going crap,I would take the two stroke every day.Love the four stroke on twin trails and more open stuff though. Two smokers are making a huge comeback and I think the Japs are making a big mistake as they will lose sales bigtime especialy with the new technology that is emerging,My opinion only
What about a 250F for the tight stuff Ollie

It is a good price if your in the market for a 2 stroke and there is nothing wrong with it.
Rubbish, rubbish and rubbish. Pre 2008 KTMs, maybe some bikes, but way too general a statement.
Problem with the Huskies is trying to sell them when your done with them.[/quote]
KTM 2 strokes are crap! even the new ones, great engine! suspension and handling PFFFFTT!!
