I have a rocstomper which was leaking from the bottom shaft ‘O’ ring, I rang them and they wanted $25 for an ‘O’ ring service kit + postage. No mention of free servicing. I got my ‘O’ ring kit out and serviced it myself, just replacing the leaking ‘O’ ring which is the only one that could leak outside.

Well Mick i probably would have done the same thing as well, its the little things that count and now you probably wont recommend them to anyone else. Dumb business that.Shame really because Daniel the owner is a good bloke:(

I remember one at Wauchope on the second day when it felt like I was unstoppable and everything just seemed to happen. Awesome!
Yeh I remember now when you swapped onto my bike:laugh:

Yeh the newer models have been pretty reliable. I did a main bearing in my 96 husky 360 once, cost me about $1700 to get it fixed at mates rates

Hey Mal
I rode up at hampton with a guy from melbourne with a 300 Gasgas and he did a main bearing in at full noise beside my at 120km’s on dual trails like we where on today.
She lock up solid and wouldn’t turn over at all so make your mind before you buy Dude.
Cheers
Dr D[/quote]Hey Dr D what year model was this 300? I know they have changed the bearings in the newer models, I think 05 and Older had the shite ones.
Ollie
I think it is late August they are due to arrive. I dont mind Kicking the bike as the Gasser starts real easy ,but the kicker on the Husky is the same as the one on my 98 360 and I think they are pretty ordinary especially if you are a bit shorter in the leg. You cant start the Husky in Gear, No problems on the Gasser. The clutch from what X was saying is just wrong and should be a Hydraulic one like the the Kato and Gasser. small issues but at the end of the day of riding in the snot, all those minor things add up.
cheers mate
Ollie
TB not to sure what happened,I think it was the chain derailed and locked up around the the chain guide causing the damage. I noticed the chain was pretty loose when we stopped at some nice little place, but didnt adjust it,
1 hour or so later was when it derailed, learnt my lesson there;) I havnt heard of any others doing it even though I trawled the net trying to find a common denominator.
Havent had any issues since which is a bonusB)
Ollie
Mal,how did you find the kick starter on the Husky and the heaviness of the cable clutch ? I use to love the Husky but feel there is some definate improvements required before I would outlay the hard earned, maybe the new model will see the improvements.( my opinion only) TM’s look pretty trick as well.

any issues/probs ? apart from the seat:lol:
drew.
The bike has about 3000 kms of single track on it. I did have a problem with the Gearbox when the chain derailed and smashed the teeth off 3rd gear:( (about $700) to get fixed. Only other problems have been relatively minor, side stand is Pox and needs a bigger pad (next mod) Rimlocks are crap, fixed on later models. Air filter location can be tricky to get right The forks need a bushing mod done. but other than that she’s been really good and would definatley get another.

Gasit and JRD and Deano also ride Gassers
Ollie
Thanks TB;) Everyone who has ridden mine has come away with a positive thing to say, Not everyone likes 2 stroke power and I wouldnt recommend if you had a lot of commuting on the cards. The Gasser is probably the tamest of all the manufacturers but that is a good thing in my books perfectly suited to trail riding.
They definatley need a pipe guard and bash plate, thats why I made my own;) but they are readily available from dealers.
