Funny you say that Moto, As I only use ratchet straps now:laugh: Generally I have a normal cam lock on the inside, then use the ratchet to pull it all down nice and snug. My other ratchet Tie downs are made by Spanset(an aussie company at Western Sydney)They have proven very reliable since ive had them which is about 8 yearsB) Like anything a little TLC goes a long way.

I remember seeing one of those CANAMS 175? as a young fella, they were the Poo:laugh:

Also improves fuel consumption. During winter the engines of your bike will run leaner due to more air being available. so you use the blue tipped JD needle,In summer or on very high altitude there is less air available and the bike will run rich, you then use the alternate red tipped needle. Well worth the Coin, also a exteranal fuel mixture screw makes it easier to set it up just NOICE;)Ollie
Ollie give your self an uppercut (hang on sore finger) ok slap your self because you are making sense and we are not use to that here. Not privy to buying jets so apparently there colour coded(jetting for idiots) is that right??????
Yes mate,The JD kit is color coded for idjits, even comes with instructions on how to do it(we normaly go a bit leaner on the main jet in aussie though, due to our crap fuel:angry:

good insurance for the buck.I agree 100% with what Boulder has said.I probably would also consider changing the speedo assembly for something a little less pricier to replace and the front suspension needs to be stiffened up.Also a JD jet kit makes a difference IMHO
ollie
Sorry mate IM out, bloody finger:( I think P-dub has to work as well:unsure: maybe Murph?
Ollie
No I believe they are not substituting quality, that is why I steer clear of the ones you get from Kmart or the auto shops. I had a real good look at these and primarily focused on the ratchet mechanism and the stitching and its all good. Just goes to show you the profit margin bike shops put on gear (which I might say is not always Quality even though you are paying a quality sum of hard earned)
My decision to buy was re-enforced with the affixed Australian standard conformance (and the pretty colors:laugh: )
OK im off my soap box

another Stigma, ALDI spells realistic prices without substituting quality. I also got a Sydway street directory from there for $20 bucks cheaper than any where else
They are made to a standard which has been affixed to the webbing
australian standard 4380
they are not from the $2 shop:dry:
Gyday Mal,put me down as a maybe, pending how my digit goes and also the ride at Bulls place.
Ollie
