I went to the last one and although it was fun,I much prefer going with a smaller group of guys. Lining up behind 40 others waiting to have a go at a semi technical hill is not my go. The prizes are good, live band and camping with your mates and getting on it is fun and also the sideshow with all the gear is not to bad either. But I wont be going this year.

    Karma for that tip Ollie!

Was he busted riding in the bush or out on the road? The guys said on the weekend that they’ve been riding there for ~15 years and never been stopped! I have heard of a few people getting pinned at white rock and I still see quads and young punks running around there which worries me.

Daniel (andrew’s brother) had a collision out there with some bloke about 1month ago that sheared his footpeg off! Some how he avoided any serious injury.

He was done in the bush by a nice Policeman,I said serve you right, mxers are for MX tracks or private property. Your mate was lucky,My mate Rick had a head on years ago on my 85 KTM500 his knee cap got smashed to bits and he has got a permanent limp now.Still rides good thoughB).To many wankers ride at white rock which makes it bloody dangerous, not to bad if you go at daybreak though:blink: Thanks for the Karma mate;)

Instead of flooging the guts out of the watagans, going around and around the same tracks till we all lose the place for good, why dont you come and do some decent tight single trail around Orange Old Man. Step outside your comfort zone? Maybe come up to Wauchope and race the pony express with the rest of us?

Nah give up racing a few years ago now,no fun anymore.
Im discovering new tracks every time I go into the Watagans and theyre not all flogged out. Although Orange does sound intersesting in the Pine forests. I will have to organise a ride up at Dungog with some of the local legendsB)

I have the atc3k as well and its alright, not real high quality but not to bad,The positives are that it is self contained and that it can fit a 4GB SD card. The negatives are The picture quality is not great and the sound buffering pisses me off a bit. I also have a helcam pencil camera which is awesome picture quality and sound, but its recording device is a PMP(personal media player) with a TV in jack. The downside is you have to carry a separate battery pack and you have cables running from that to the camera and to the PMP as well as the separate microphone,so it can be a bit messy.its also only got a 1 GB SD card. The POV1 is the best I have seen as it is MIL spec (tough as) but again I think only a small memory card and its very expensive over $1000

I carry a small hand held camera, from Aldi $170 which I pull out for taking vids when near a tricky section like that hill climb at the Watto’s.

    hope this helps

xy you could try the stealth sprockets – best of both worlds light alloy middle section tough as nails hardened steel for the teeth. Not sure of price but probably $120:dry: If you can afford it get a new chain to go with your purchase especially if it is a bit suss as well. best to change out as a set if you can.

If you want a chain and sprocket set that will last a real long time.I have had good results from chain gangs products. hope this helps
