I re-grease or replace trailer bearings with rego each year and never been on the side of the road:laugh:

When I was riding all round NSW I used to do mine every 5000km of trailer use.Its also a good idea to carry a spare set all greased up ready to go in if needed as they are only about $30 a set.

Bloody Hell Man all I hear from you is a ride here and a ride there, so if yesteryear you rode all around NSW , what the F#ck do you do now, just ride all around the Mid North coast:laugh:

best riding is between Gosford and Kempsey anyway IMO B)

yeh mate dont venture to far past Kempsey nowadays:laugh:

At least its not a 2T!!

…but there are rumours of a new XR250R… Fuel injected, liquid cooled, based on the CRF450R chassis… That’s sounding pretty good to me, as long as the valve issues of the CRF don’t follow through.

Plus, hussy’s are not family friendly!

Hey Ecks WTF:unsure: 2 strokes are awsome bikes, for the riding that I mainly do,ie single trail and hilly shitty log infested stuff,I wouldnt have anything but a 2 stroke, For a ride like Hillend yeah go the 4 stroke,(champo you must of been feeling it at the end mate:laugh: )But the sheer power to weight, snap of the throttle and simple get it done attitude you cant beat em;) just my opinion

I think Dave and you are on the money Ollie, spare set is something I always think about doing but never get around to doing :(

nothing worse than having to leave your trailer on the side of the road then head into a garage or town and hope to hell that they have some bearings. remember the 5 p’s

    prior planning prevents pisspoor performance

Really though, the filter should be capable by itself, the skin (or chux) is just for the larger particulates and other rubbish like grass seeds.

Exactly, they don’t need to do filtration down to the tiniest microbe. I would just use them to give you som eextra time between actual filter changes on longer dusty rides like Hillend.

exactly Ecks and Moto I have both kinds and will continue to use both. The actual airfilter is the primary device for ensuring clean air,as long as that Jigger picks up the ones that get through all is good;)

Well do I compress the spring by winding the nuts down or extend the spring by loosening them off?????To gain the required 35mm of extra sag?? Anyone?

you have to loosen the spring off to get more movement.by winding down (compressing)you are reducing the amount of potential spring movement.

Hi Ollie, this one was a bit of a steal it’s only got 1700k’s on it and i’v known the bike from new, the guy that had it never rode it so it’s sat in his shed for 3years, never changed the oil!!!, I only paid $5800 for it but they seem to be going for anywhere between $6-$7000

Fantastic going mate, I will be putting mine up for $6500 it only has about 4000 km on it as well but it has a lot of accessories to go with it as well:laugh:
