Apparently the front brake cable broke a few months after I sold it to them and they never rode it after that.
It looks just like the day I sold it to them except for some rust on the front rim.
It started third kick and hauled me up the drive way, no worries. Hey Mick It looks pretty good for 2 hungey
you should be able to make at least 500% profit on it:laugh:

Hmmm… the pics in my first post are a KTM with a plastic Hyde bashplate on… needless to say he now has an alloy version! He swore by his too… until the rock flipped up from the front wheel and punched a hole in the ignition cover by flexing the plastic bashplate. Then he just swore AT it! Not trying to be a negative sod but thought you might like to know!
I agree alloy is best,I like to run alloy bashplate with a carbon fibre pipe gaurd.Im in the process of making both for my gasser. The Hyde is a loaner from a mates bike. good info though I will have to get my arse into gear and finish mine off:dry:
cheers Ollie

Well boys, today was a mans perfect Day,
1. Go deep sea fishing at 3 in the morning pulling in big snapper at 4:30 along with groper and yellowfin tuna.
2.got tired of bottom bouncing,so trawled for 2 hours, got several mackeral and bonito
3. Home at 12,pie for lunch
4.On the DRZ before 1 and hitting some wicked trails around town and out on the local beaches.
5.policeman pulled me over, and was going to book me ,but realised I was an aussie and pulled the piss out of me for losing the world cup and LET ME OFF with a wave goodbye, choice BRO!!
6. Hit some more trails on a big sheep station (you really need to know people around here;) ) Pulled a wheelstand up the beach for well over 500 meters and didnt fall off. local kids lapped it up:laugh:
7.rode back home mostly on the beach, top speed on DRZ was 156km/h:woohoo: I covered 150 KM and didnt hit reserve!
8. Put bike in shed, loaded up the ute with dive gear and got half a dozen crayfish and plenty of Paua (Abalone)
9. suck a few cold TUI’s back at mates place, while his chef wife, cooked up the best fishermans basket ever.
10.Got home at 10ish,wife and kids are asleep,im not long off wow what a day:woohoo: choice bro ehollie

PS I consider rider X a trail buddy and the many other guys I have met with my involvement with the forum,as I have said before This is a great way of getting to go on rides with like minded people who share a common interest(no Not pulling the piss out of Honda’s:laugh: )How often do you hear of people selling their bike or giving up the sport because they have no-one to go riding with, keep up the good work guys and bring it onB)

Quote:I even tried a trailer with a stainless frame and a alloy body with rivets through rubber gaskets that wears out too as the holes oversize. For plug and play simplicity with no maintanance you cant go past a simple steel trailer that has been galvanised.I agree 100%
stainless steel and alloy are not up to the task when it comes to trailers.
an 8×5 would be the best option, but it is a wide trailer
I actually made up chanels from folded 3mm plate. I only needed one in the centre for the front as the corners held the bikes front whell securley. the channels at the back were only long enough to stop the rear wheel moving sideways, these were just bolted through the trailer floor, and to be honest they were not really required as the tailgate stopped them from moving about suffieiently with a rope. another option if space is a concern is the “ezytrailer” I think:unsure: it can be stowed verticaly and takes up little space, quite cheap also.
a bike trailer does its intended job beutifully, but basicly that is all it will do. Get a modified boxy and keep your rego costs down and have the added benefit of being multi functionalB) or get a duel cab ute:laugh:
