yeh Nigel ive used them, cost me $20 bucks years ago from Salamanca markets in Hobart.I bet one of the young guys I could weld up a hole in a coke can for $20 bucks easist money ive ever made:laugh:
i used them to repair a hole in a Husky 250 radiator worked a treat, unfortunatley they were misplaced in one of my moves:angry: easy to use when you get the knack.

yeah mate back then I was 20 21 years old fit as a bastard and riding the wheels off a KTM 500.They were the halcyon days, raced every weekend, did motocross and enduro rode until dark every wednesday arvo for training. It now takes months to get over injuries,Im carrying about 15 kg more than I should be and Im knackered after a good day in the saddle. Im still enjoying it though and get a kick out of personal achievements rather than trying to be faster than is reasonably safe to do.Rocky hills are still my nemisis! The best is going trailriding with my 15 year old and teaching him skills.

What grade is the ride that is happening on the Sunday?
My wife who also rides, maybe interested in going for a spin.

Gyday Dan, the ride on Sunday is planned on being a realistic moderate skill level required, probably a grade 3-4 I am planning on going up this weekend to pre ride and also cut some track in, bare in mind though that we would of had some serious rain and the hills may be a bit slick! Also it wont be a “big” ride as most people will probably be wanting to get home I anticipate about 3 hours worth, but that is just a guess.

    cheers Ollie

Yeah like em I do,not only for the bling factor, they help me control the bike, The only negative I can think of is sometimes they are a bit to grippy like when you need to get your foot down in a hurry,

Mick the protector is made from 3mm perspex and held on by 3m double sided tape. easy but works, just like an XR:laugh:
