TB after talking to zippo at Wauchope,I dont think the italian beast is the problem, its more the fact that he doesnt want to break the Scottish beast prior to his trip to the land of the No white Farmers

Nah,when I welded the bracket to the frame to hold the linkage arm (you have to weld the bracket as the WR’s use the frame as an Oil tank) I positioned it to far back, hence it wasnt holding on with to many threads, went ok on the smaller stuff on friday with just me and rick riding, but at speed and hitting a big gooly going downhill was enough to seperate the linkage arm from the threaded connectors, causing the steering to lock up,hence me doing a Superman impression into the scrub, thank god I was wearing my full body armour, got out opf it with just a few grazes and bruises,Did anyone else see it happen? must have looked good:laugh:

Gyday Mick, The clutch Saga:unsure: These clutches have to have an installed gap, when I took the cover off to check,it was way to big, which meant that the engine wasnt fully engaging the clutch so it was slipping heaps, also because the revs are lower going downhill, the clutch was disengaging to early,ie no engine braking and was a bit hard to control.I have one of the original setups so I will get onto Sutto’s and have him send me out a couple of new rekluse drive plates which are thicker and hope fully that should fix er up.Ps Dean that smell that you were telling me about when you were following me was the clutch plates frying. The oil was filthy, anyway like they say “if its got Tits or Wheels its gonna cost ya”

    cheers Ollie

BTW spoke to Mac today,he said he would be keen on a ride at Kundabung in October!

Ive used the small plastic ones in the past and they seem to work ok,just pull them off every now and then and clear any water or crap out. I have also seen somewhere (zyptyeracing i think) where they put a small rare earth magnet in the fuel bowl or drain plug, and the amount of crap that filters is amazing.

Welcome to the forum Guy, make sure to hook up with Mick,Dave ,tripper and the rest of the local boys from Warchoppy, you should get to ride on some pretty sweet trailsB)

BTW this forum has got to be a good thing for all of the bike shops eh;) more people riding, more bike and spares being sold, all good.

also the boys at Mud and Tar motorcycles are great, the husky 360 clutch cable shat itself at about 4:30 PM on friday arvo and they managed to do a repair (new inner and soldered ferrels) removed repaired and refitted for $15. WOW!!
