Yeah it is still oil and looks like fun!!! I had never been there before, my son and I rode up on the KTM990 ADV and had a ball but it pissed down at lunch time and they called the meeting off. We then rode home in the rain and my son still goes on about how good a day it was.[/quote]
Hey mick I have witnessed some big offs on that hard as a rock oiled surface, especially lunatic sidecars!Sounds like you had a great bonding day with your son, excellent!!

Doesnt like bikes, always snarls at me when “I do my wn thing” cant cook! and she’s also a Kiwi!! seriously though I know a fair bit of Maria state forest especially cresent head side, would be good to compare some maps or hook up a ride with fossil and his mates,im still struggling with the gps though.

Ahhhh the old Akubra classic,I have done many laps around that circuit!! My father once owned the Sawmill that was on the Speedway property,I use to ride there every afternoon for years after school cutting laps on a yz80,they also had a scrambles track down the bottom near the creek, great fun times
The speedway track used to be oiled,I dont know if it still is? in this environmentally correct new age.Ollie
Gyday Mick! what days have you got planned for the ride you have organised for the Sydney Boys? I would love to come up for it being originally from Kempsey and all, as a side note my mate Rick (owner of Michelles Patisserie in Port) went for a ride on a couple of the dealers Gassers around the Wauchope bush just recently,He fell in love with the 300! (the 450 was good but had a sticky throttle problem) He also said the area was unreal bike riding terrain!!
cheers Ollie
“you are out of control” but your ability to obtain “stuff” and your powers of persuasion are nothing short of mesmerising. All bow to the “King”
I have nothing on you
cheers Ollie
Gyday Husky610,sorry for the late reply,
These tyres can be found on the web at http://www.mxretreads.com.au they have a dealers list there depending on where you live pick the closest one, easy, ADB did a test on them and it was all praise.I became a dealer because 1. I like them 2.as I have a heap of bikes in the shed MXretreads cut down the maintenance costs.
IF you live in an area that doesnt have a dealer PM me and I can post usually for under $20 a set.MY Brother uses them on his 94 Husky 610TC and hasnt had a problem yet.Hope this info helps.
cheers OllieB)
Gyday Ryan,welcome to old bulls!!
Being in Townsville I am wondering if you are in the Defence Force? If you are I recommend you also look at joining the defence force motorcycle club (I Did) Lots of benefits including cheap parts and accessories and they are always doing riding courses.
cheers ollie
Hey Mac,whats a tyre worth? I reckon you are getting out of it pretty good.
ps can you download the KTM files onto a SD card? cause I wouldnt mind getting them, how did you get to the Bit torrent? (what is a bit Torrent?)cheers Ollie
