Hey Nick I would also be interested in knowing what the G O is with fitting a thermo fan as you know I mainly use my BRP to commute to the city and on some days the temp gets up quite high and find myself doing silly things to keep the airflow going through the rads
I fitted a computer fan and small 12v battery with a total loss system but its just not good enough for city traffic.

As far as Cams go have a talk to Dr Nick from Technics I beleve he recommends a special Waggot or Tighe profile for our Aussie Conditions.
Mike from the Sunshine coast and Nato a bit further up should be able to hook you up for a ride.

GaleyKTM300 wrote:Ollie, how did you get out and get help?I was nervous watching as well. The Gasser would have eaten that log for brekky!
I rode it back to my parents place in first and second gear purely on adrenaline.(about 7 km’s) The log was hung up about 2 feet in the air one side,so had a bad angle to it.

1.would this mod be beneficial for my purpose or would I be better off leaving it in> Im happy with the power it makes, but dont want bits sucked into the engine Either. Answered it yourself the bits in the engine ids the drama, Nick need say about the one piece ones during the video, PS alloy would worry me more because vibrations and alloy don’t mix
2. How much of a power gain is created by removing the restrictions ? Haven’t measured it cant hurt
3. Do you lean it to the right like Nick said or to the left pivoting on the stand like TB said? Tested both ways, stand to the left works as well and is easiercheers Ollie
Do it mate easy and worth the peace of mind IMO
TB
cool when I go back up to Kempsey to pick my bike up I will do the Mods then
Thanks TB
PS when are you doing a Rebuild Vid on the XR
