Happy Birthday Eags you crazy Ol Bird
BTW I have to agree with Jeffro, the years have been hard on you
Ollie
The gear oil that you have is Fine Razzle
Suzuki recommend 20/50 wt engine oil in the rmx  Ive used diesel engine oil,Castrol MTX, Auto transmission fluid and am currently using an ELF gear oil in the Gasgas.

Mate would love to do another ride at your place. Unfortunately work will be getting in the way of any dirt oriented social gatherings until late November for me
Good to hear you have finally recovered
ollie
Fitted the new SHOWA suspension,
The top triple had to have packing machined up
Fitted the CRF front Wheel and oversize (270mm) front Disk
The gasgas Nissan brake fitted straight on
The Showa forks are a bit longer so I had to slide them through the triple clamp about 6mm more
Fitted a Cycra Disk gaurd and took her for a run in some local fire trail
While I was at it I fitted an ASV perch clamp and safety wired up a new Longer throttle cable
Goes Good now cant wait for a decent ride
Ollie
Speedy recovery mate, hope all goes well for you.

Last time I fitted tyres to the RMX I could only get a Vee rubber for the front so at the moment I have Michilen in rear and Vee rubber in front. You can feel the difference when comparing them side by side, the Michy is thicker. That being said I run the front on the RMX at 10psi everywhere and not had a flat (touch would) even after a couple ride in the Sunny Corner loam.

I tried this stuff once. All it did is when I got a flat it filled the inside of my tyre with green goopy shit.
It good for up to 6mm Holes like pinch flats or a nail etc Not good for tears or worse. Havnt had a puncture since I started using it. (touch wood)

Hey I just reread what you wrote, if you haven’t had a flat how do you know it’s worked? Or have you found where it has sealed?
Thanks
yep several  I wouldnt recommend it if it wasnt any good
Happy Birthday Nick, good score on the Pezzies !!

I used to ride around that track 5 days a week after school :woohoo: Interestingly one of the few remaining oiled tracks left in Aus. last time I was there was for the wake of my mate who died riding his KTM380 (not at the track) was the weekend we were at Louee.
RIP Darryl Hollis my wild mate
Thanks for posting up Mick

micknmeld wrote:Yep Razzle, you were in the Maria River State forest. Couple of fun little rocky hills to play on in there. That is Ollies old stomping ground.Yeh Mate I know exactly where yoe are there. Wheere is the rest of the ride report and photies?
You will have to take a saw with you next time I reckon a lot of the tracks might be a bit overgrown with the dreaded Lantana. I might be up there late November so should be able to show you around, Kram (Goldfish) knows the area to the East pretty good as well. Plus he has some awsome tracks over his way closer to Cresent Head (like the swamp of Doom)

Man I have had a heap of Bikes over the last 40+ years I guess my favourite bike would have to have been my New 92 Husky 360 :woohoo: went like a rocket, handled well, stopped turned and was very reliable. For Grin factor and sometimes shear terror my 85 KTM 500 MXC which my mate Rick had his right leg and knee smashed on. :S
Favorite roady would be the 88 Model CBR 1000F- just too easy to lose your licence on :whistle:Ollie
got to watch that PDS rebound
Ollie
You have to be coated in honey and let them have their ways with their talented tongues  The ones I work with a pretty cool, not the shaved head robbers dog stereo type
